Nahida is an event-exclusive 5* character released in Genshin Impact Version 3.2 Update. She is the Dendro Archon of Sumeru. Nahida is the first catalyst user Archon, as well as the first Archon to use the child body type. She has a very unique and complicated set of abilities, which we will go through in-depth in this article. This guide will discuss all the information about Nahida in Genshin Impact along with the best artifacts, best weapons and talent materials.

Nahida’s Playstyle and Skillset
In this section of the guide, we will discuss the playstyle and skillset of Nahida in Genshin Impact.
Name/ Description | Type |
---|---|
Performs up to 4 attacks that deal Dendro DMG to opponents in front of her. | Normal Attack |
Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to deal AoE Dendro DMG to opponents in front of her after a short casting time. | Charged Attack |
Calling upon the might of Dendro, Nahida plunges towards the ground from mid-air, damaging all opponents in her path. Deals AoE Dendro DMG upon impact with the ground. | Plunging Attack |
Sends forth karmic bonds of wood and tree from her side, dealing AoE Dendro DMG and marking up to 8 opponents hit with the Seed of Skandha. When held, this skill will trigger differently. Hold Enters Aiming Mode, which will allow you to select a limited number of opponents within a limited area. During this time, Nahida’s resistance to interruption will be increased. When released, this skill deals Dendro DMG to these opponents and marks them with the Seed of Skandha. Aiming Mode will last up to 5s and can select a maximum of 8 opponents. Seed of Skandha Opponents who have been marked by the Seed of Skandha will be linked to one another up till a certain distance. After you trigger Elemental Reactions on opponents who are affected by the Seeds of Skandha or when they take DMG from Dendro Cores (including Burgeon and Hyperbloom DMG), Nahida will unleash Tri-Karma Purification on the opponents and all connected opponents, dealing Dendro DMG based on her ATK and Elemental Mastery. You can trigger at most 1 Tri-Karma Purification within a short period of time. | Elemental Skill |
Illusory Hear | Elemental Burst |
Manifests the Court of Dreams and expands the Shrine of Maya. When the Shrine of Maya field is unleashed, the following effects will be separately unleashed based on the Elemental Types present within the party. ·Pyro: While Nahida remains within the Shrine of Maya, the DMG dealt by Tri-Karma Purification from “All Schemes to Know” is increased. ·Electro: While Nahida remains within the Shrine of Maya, the interval between each Tri-Karma Purification from “All Schemes to Know” is decreased. ·Hydro: The Shrine of Maya’s duration is increased. If there are at least 2 party members of the aforementioned Elemental Types present when the field is deployed, the aforementioned effects will be increased further. Even if Nahida is not on the field, these bonuses will still take effect so long as party members are within the Shrine of Maya. |
Nahida’s Passive Talents
Utility passive: On All Things Meditated
Nahida can use All Schemes to Know to interact with some harvestable items within a fixed AoE. This skill may even have some other effects…
Ascension 1 passive: Compassion Illuminated
When unleashing Illusory Heart, the Shrine of Maya will gain the following effects: The Elemental Mastery of the active character within the field will be increased by 25% of the Elemental Mastery of the party member with the highest Elemental Mastery. You can gain a maximum of 250 Elemental Mastery in this manner.
Ascension 4 passive: Awakening Elucidated
Each point of Nahida’s Elemental Mastery beyond 200 will grant 0.1% Bonus DMG and 0.03% CRIT Rate to Tri-Karma Purification from All Schemes to Know. A maximum of 80% Bonus DMG and 24% CRIT Rate can be granted to Tri-Karma Purification in this manner.
Talents in-depth
Elemental skill: All Schemes To Know
The way it works is pretty complicated. Enemies are marked when they are hit by the tap mode or manually marked in the aim mode. The mark lasts 25s.

First of all, when enemies are marked, they can be linked if they are in close proximity to each other. When at least one enemy takes DMG from Dendro cores or elemental reactions are triggered on them, all linked enemies will take DMG from Tri-Karma Purification. This has no ICD and it can happen once every 2.5s. This also re-applies Dendro to the enemies. This enables Nahida to maintain a Dendro aura on marked enemies for an extended period of time. Any character that requires a long duration of Dendro aura on enemies can benefit from this. These characters include Cyno and Nilou.
The hold version should always be used since it takes a very small amount of time to mark the enemies and the range is greater than the tap version. Enemies will be marked as long as they are within range, even if they are obstructed by any objects or other enemies. It is not required to place enemies in the “targeting square,” it’s just there as a visualization of aim mode.
Elemental burst: Illusory Heart
Nahida’s burst does no DMG, nor does it apply Dendro. It is a large field that acts differently based on the elements of the teammates.
The main thing it does is that it buffs the DMG of Tri-Karma Purification. It is also able to increase the duration of the burst itself. See the details for the explanation.
The burst can be useful to those who can take advantage of the EM buff from her first ascension passive.
Utility passive: On All Things Meditated
Great passive for exploration, and makes collecting materials easier. For example, Nahida’s ascension material grows on cliff edges, but using All Schemes to Know, players can collect them from ground level.
Ascension 4 passive: Awakening Elucidated
More EM scaling and building EM helps out with other stats.
Nahida’s Constellations
In this section of the guide, we will discuss the different constellations of Nahida in Genshin Impact.
C1 | The Seed of Stored Knowledge When the Shrine of Maya is unleashed and the Elemental Types of the party members are being tabulated, the count will add 1 to the number of Pyro, Electro, and Hydro characters respectively. |
C2 | The Root of All Fullness Opponents that are marked by Seeds of Skandha applied by Nahida herself will be affected by the following effects: ·Burning, Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon Reaction DMG they receive can score CRIT Hits. CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG are fixed at 20% and 100% respectively. ·Within 8s of being affected by Quicken, Aggravate, and Spread, DEF is decreased by 30%. |
C3 | The Shoot of Conscious Attainment Increases the Level of All Schemes to Know by 3. The maximum upgrade level is 15. |
C4 | The Stem of Manifest Inference When 1/2/3/4 (or more) nearby opponents are affected by All Schemes to Know‘s Seeds of Skandha, Nahida’s Elemental Mastery will be increased by 100/120/140/160. |
C5 | The Leaves of Enlightening Speech Increases the Level of Illusory Heart by 3. The maximum upgrade level is 15. |
C6 | The Fruit of Reason’s Culmination When Nahida hits an opponent affected by All Schemes to Know‘s Seeds of Skandha with Normal or Charged Attacks after unleashing Illusory Heart, she will use Tri-Karma Purification: Karmic Oblivion on this opponent and all connected opponents, dealing Dendro DMG based on 200% of Nahida’s ATK and 400% of her Elemental Mastery. DMG dealt by Tri-Karma Purification: Karmic Oblivion is considered Elemental Skill DMG and can be triggered once every 0.2s. This effect can last up to 10s and will be removed after Nahida has unleashed 6 instances of Tri-Karma Purification: Karmic Oblivion. |
Constellations value
Constellation Level | Effect(s) |
---|---|
C1 | The skill can increase the burst duration, but usefulness depends on the tramp comp. |
C2 | The best constellation allows previously not-critting reactions to crit and reduces enemies’ DEF to do even more DMG. Even though the crit rate and crit DMG are fixed, it is still a significant increase in average DPS. |
C3 | Appears to be good at first, but it only increases her personal DMG which is negligible, to begin with. Does not increase reaction DMG where the bulk of her DMG comes from. |
C4 | Pretty decent EM buff which helps her with buffing teammates. |
C5 | Negligible increase in DMG. |
C6 | Appears to be a significant increase in DMG, but since her personal DMG is negligible to begin with, the DMG increase amounts to a small percentage of the team’s DMG. |
Playstyles
Nahida can be played as both an on-field driver and off-field support.
- Off-field Nahida uses her elemental skill to apply Dendro while the on-field character causes reactions. Swap in to use skill and quickly swap out.
- On-field Nahida: uses her normal and charged attacks alongside Tri-Karma Purification to apply dendro and cause reactions.
Upgrade priority
Nahida must be leveled up to 90 since she has high EM scaling and Dendro reactions take character level into account while calculating DMG. Both on-field and off-field Nahida will benefit from this.
Talents priority
On-field: Normal attack = Skill > Burst
The normal attack should be leveled since it is used a lot, however, the DMG itself is pretty negligible. The only thing it is good for is quick Dendro application to cause reactions. The reaction DMG is more important than her raw Dendro DMG.
Off-field: Skill > Burst > Normal attack
Normal attack is unnecessary since it will likely never be used.
Best Artifacts Build for Nahida in Genshin Impact
Nahida’s ER requirements need to be met first. After that, stack as much EM as possible for off-field playstyle. For on-field playstyle, stack Dendro DMG%, crit, EM, and ATK%.
ER requirements
On-field | Off-field |
---|---|
100-140% | 100-160% |
Artifact stats
Sands | Goblet | Circlet |
---|---|---|
EM | EM/Dendro DMG% | EM/crit |
Artifact sets
![]() | 4pc Deepwood Memories | Increases Dendro DMG%, reduces enemy’s Dendro resistance and increases Dendro reaction DMG. significantly boosts Nahida’s DMG. |
![]() | 4pc Gilded Dreams | Only one character needs to hold Deepwood’s memories for the entire team to benefit from it. If someone else is holding Deepwood Memories, Gilded Dreams becomes Nahida’s best choice. However, do not use it if Nahida does not consistently cause reactions. |
![]() ![]() | 2pc Gilded Dreams + 2pc Wanderer’s Troupe | This can be better than 4pc Gilded Dreams since it just straight-up boosts EM with no conditional buffs. An unconditional EM buff is really appreciated. |
Best Weapons for Nahida
![]() | A Thousand Floating Dreams (5*) | Nahida’s signature best-in-slot 5* weapon. High base ATK and EM substat, which is great since she scales off both. |
![]() | Kagura’s Verity (5*) | Best for on-field Nahida. Easy to take advantage of the passive. |
![]() ![]() ![]() | Lost Prayer To The Sacred Winds (5*)/Solar Pearl (4*) /Widsith (4*) | Good for on-field Nahida. |
![]() | Sacrificial Fragments (4*) | Best for off-field Nahida. High EM substat is amazing but Nahida does not benefit from the passive since her skill cooldown is very short. |
![]() | Wandering Evenstar (4*) | Good for off-field Nahida, also good for buffing teammates’ ATK. |
![]() | Mappa Mare (4*) | Good for off-field Nahida. |
![]() | Magic Guide (3*) | Really good cheap alternative, and has a good EM substat. |
![]() | Hakushin Ring (4*) | Good for playing Nahida in electro teams |
![]() | Favonius Codex (4*) | Solves ER problems but does not offer anything beyond that. |
![]() | Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers (3*) | Does absolutely nothing for Nahida but good for supporting teammates. |

Special dish

- Name: Halvamazd
- Description: Nahida’s speciality. It is said that “mazd” means “wisdom” in Sumeru, and such delicate “wisdom” is simply irresistible. - Effect: Increases all party members’ DEF by 282 for 300s. In Co-Op Mode, this effect only applies to your own character(s).
