Genshin Impact’s new 1.6 update looms closely and is set to release on the date of June 9, 2021. As the new patch 1.6 lands, new characters from a new soon-to-be-released region, Inazuma will be released in the game. 4 characters are set to be released in the Midsummer Island Adventure update. These are the likes of Kazuha, Yoimiya, Ayaka and Sayu. In this Genshin Impact guide, we will talk about all you need to know about Sayu, her builds and the materials required for Ascension.
Genshin Impact Sayu: Playstyle and skill-set
Sayu is a small Anemo Ninja from Shiyuumatsu-Ban, a location from Inazuma. She is a ninja who likes to sleep as she believes it will help her grow taller. Sayu is a 4-star Anemo claymore user. Her constellation is Nyctereutes Minor. The following are her talents, skills and attacks.

| Anemo damage is dealt to nearby enemies, and all nearby characters in the party are healed. The amount of restoration benefits from Sayu’s attack power. The burst also summons “Unbreakable Raccoon.” Depending on the situation nearby, the raccoon will either heal your allies or attack your enemies with cryo damage. |
Sayu’s Passive
- With Sayu is on your side, some wild animals, such as crystal flies, will be unalarmed of your approach.
- When Sayu causes a swirl reaction, all party members recover 300 HP plus an additional 1.2 HP for every EM point Sayu possesses. This effect can only be used once every 2 seconds.
Sets to farm for Sayu in Genshin Impact
There are two recommended artifact sets for Sayu. These two include “Viridescent Venerer” and “Noblesse Oblige“. Both of these sets are great on Sayu both for different reasons. Noblesse Oblige is an overall good set for a full support type Sayu as it greatly boosts the attack of your team. Whereas, Viridescent Venerer is better for a sub-DPS Sayu to build.

With Ayaka being a DPS or a support DPS character, weapons with Elemental mastery, CD reductions, and Team buffs would be of a great addition to her abilities.

With all that being said, we cannot wait for the addition of Ayaka in the game. A new addition of Sayu to the anemo lineup gives a second 4-star anemo character choice for players instead of only Sucrose.
