Genshin Impact: Wriothesley and his constellations

Constellation LevelDescription
C1Terror for the Evildoers

The Gracious Rebuke from the Passive Talent “There Shall Be a Plea for Justice” is changed to this:
When Wriothesley’s HP is less than 60% or while he is in the Chilling Penalty state caused by Icefang Rush, when the fifth attack of Repelling Fists hits, it will create a Gracious Rebuke. 1 Gracious Rebuke effect can be obtained every 2.5 s.

Additionally, Rebuke: Vaulting Fist will obtain the following enhancement:
• The DMG Bonus gained will be further increased to 200%.
• When it hits while Wriothesley is in the Chilling Penalty state, that state’s duration is extended by 4s. 1 such extension can occur per 1 Chilling Penalty duration.
You must first unlock the Passive Talent “There Shall Be a Plea for Justice.”
C2Shackles for the Arrogant
When using Darkgold Wolfbite, each Prosecution Edict stack from the Passive Talent “There Shall Be a Reckoning for Sin” will increase said ability’s DMG dealt by 40%.
You must first unlock the Passive Talent “There Shall Be a Reckoning for Sin.”
C3Punishment for the Frauds

The constellation increases the Level of Normal Attack: Forceful Fists of Frost by 3.
The maximum upgrade level is 15.
C4Redemption for the Suffering
The HP restored to Wriothesley through Rebuke: Vaulting Fist will be increased to 50% of his Max HP. You must first unlock the Passive Talent “There Shall Be a Plea for Justice.”

Additionally, when Wriothesley is healed, if the amount of healing overflows, the following effects will occur depending on whether he is on the field or not. If he is on the field, his ATK SPD will be increased by 20% for 4s. If he is off-field, all of your own party members’ ATK SPD will be increased by 10% for 6s. These two methods of increasing ATK SPD cannot stack.
C5Mercy for the Wronged

Increases the Level of Darkgold Wolfbite by 3.
The maximum upgrade level is 15.
C6Esteem for the Innocent

The CRIT Rate of Rebuke: Vaulting Fist will be increased by 10%, and its CRIT DMG by 80%. When unleashed, it will also create an additional icicle that deals 100% of Rebuke: Vaulting Fist‘s Base DMG as Cryo DMG. DMG dealt this way is regarded as Charged Attack DMG.

You must first unlock the Passive Talent “There Shall Be a Plea for Justice.”

Genshin Impact Wriothesley guide: Breakdown of Wriothesley’s Constellations

C1: Terror for the Evildoers

This is Wriothesley’s most impactful constellation. It completely changes the way his Ascension 1 passive works. At C0, when he falls below 60% HP, his charged attack becomes enhanced: it does 50% increased DMG, does not cost stamina, and heals 30% HP. The charged attack can be enhanced this way once every 5s.

At C1, the charged attack can be enhanced even while he is above 60% HP, as long as he is in his buffed state from the Elemental Skill. The fifth hit of his normal attack combo will grant him the enhanced charged attack. This can be obtained once every 2.5s instead of 5s. It does 200% increased DMG instead of only 50%. On top of all this, hitting an enemy with the enhanced charged attack will increase the duration of his buffed state by 4s.

This constellation allows him to spam his normal attacks and weave in an enhanced charged attack whenever it is ready. It also helps him with survivability since he always heals 30% HP with his enhanced charged attacks. He gets a free 30% healing once every five normal attacks.

C2: Shackles for the Arrogant

Wriothesley’s Ascension 4 passive grants him up to 30% increased ATK when his HP increases/decreases during his buffed state. This passive now also grants his Burst a maximum of 200% DMG increase. This only works if you use his Burst while in the buffed state.

C3: Punishment for the Frauds

Three additional levels to his Normal Attack, which is his primary source of DMG.

C4: Redemption for the Suffering

First of all, this constellation increases the healing of his enhanced charged attack from 30% to 50% HP. On top of that, if the healing overflows (meaning if it heals more than his max HP) he will gain an ATK speed buff if he is on-field. If he is off-field, the buff is provided to all teammates instead. These two buffs do not stack.

C5: Mercy for the Wronged

Three additional levels to his Elemental Burst can be good if used in conjunction with his C2.

C6: Esteem for the Innocent

Provides a CRIT rate and CRIT DMG buff to his enhanced charged attack. It also creates an Icicle that does the base DMG of the enhanced charged attack.

Final Thoughts

C1 is Wriothesley’s more important constellation. He feels incomplete without it. However, it is not required to have his C1 to be able to enjoy playing him. C1 is a huge Quality-of-Life improvement. The rest of his constellations increase the DMG of his charged attack and Burst. C3, C4, and C6 increase his charged attack DMG. C2 and C5 increase his Burst DMG. C1 is the best stopping point for free-to-play and low-spenders. Whales can benefit from getting all of their constellations.
