Genshin Impact: The Complete Yoimiya Constellations Guide and Tips

The best constellations for Yoimiya in Genshin Impact!

“Frolicking Flames” Yoimiya (pyro/bow) is an event-exclusive 5* character released all the way back in Genshin Impact Version 2.0 Update. She is currently having her third rerun in Version 3.7. Players have gotten multiple opportunities to obtain her. Those who already have her might be thinking of pulling her constellations as well. This article will break down the pull value of the constellations of Yoimiya in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact Yoimiya Guide: Breakdown of Yoimiya constellations

C1: Agate Ryuukin

This constellation increases Yoimiya’s burst DMG by a very small amount, but since her burst is the least important part of her kit, this constellation is not very impactful.

C2: A Procession of Bonfires

Yoimiya gains a virtually permanent 25% Pyro DMG bonus after dealing one instance of CRIT Pyro DMG. It is a nice constellation to have. It is her biggest DMG-increasing constellation after her C6.

C3: Trickster’s Flare

Yoimiya’s Pyro DMG mainly scales with her Normal Attack talent. Increasing her elemental skill level does not increase her DMG that much.

C4: Pyrotechnic Professional

This constellation does not offer any DMG increase even though it lowers her skill cooldown. Rotations of her teams already take into account her base cooldown which cannot be changed depending on the reduced cooldown from C4.

C5: A Summer Festival’s Eve

Yoimiya’s elemental burst is the least important part of her kit and therefore increasing this talent level does not affect her DMG by a significant amount.

C6: Naganohara Meteor Swarm

This constellation is difficult to judge. While the idea of an extra Pyro attack sounds enticing, it will definitely mess up the Vaporise order. Usually, Yoimiya needs to Vaporise her 3rd and 5th attacks in her 5-attack string. Since the extra arrows share an ICD with normal arrows, it will mess with hits that are Vaporised. For example, if the extra arrow is fired with her first attack, her 3rd and 5th attacks will not be Vaporised and she will lose out on the biggest multipliers on her attack string.

This constellation works kind of similarly to Yelan’s C6 but the difference is that Yelan is not usually the one who is Vaporising, and extra Hydro application is always beneficial.

Even with all these problems, this constellation is still a significant DMG increase. Not by making her gameplay easier, but by sheer brute force of causing more instances of Pyro application. This constellation causes no problems in a Mono Pyro team, on the contrary, it is super helpful to have.

Final Thoughts

Overall, Yoimiya is a perfectly functional unit at C0. Most of her constellations are either useless or underwhelming, resulting in low pull value. It is bad news for whales who want to increase their DMG sinc even though her C6 is a DMG increase, it is beneficial in a complicated roundabout way rather than a simple way like Yelan’s C6. It is good news for free-to-plays since they do not have to worry about having to pull multiple copies of her to make her DMG better. For whales and free-to-plays both, C2 is the best stopping point. Dedicated whales may go for C6 but the constellations in between are practically worthless.
