Secret Summer Paradise is the flagship event of Genshin Impact version 3.8. This event introduces a new temporary map called the Veluriyam Mirage. This map functions similarly to the Golden Apple Archipelago from the past. It is a temporary map created by Klee’s mom Alice, and it contains an event with its game modes, as well as some open-world exploration sprinkled in. This Secret Summer Paradise event guide will only cover the main event and its game modes, not every single open-world challenge that is available on this map in Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact Secret Summer Paradise: Event Quest Part 1
Navigate the quest and visit the Knights of Favonius HQ. Talk to Jean, Klee, and Kaeya. At the end of the conversation, you will be teleported near Gandharva Ville. From here, go to Gandharva Ville to meet Tighnari. On your way, you will meet Eula and Collei. After talking to them, you will be teleported to the desert. Here you will touch a bottle which will transport you to the Veluriyam Mirage. This is the event-specific limited-time map. Continue following the quest marker.
Inside this domain, there is a collectible item that shows up on the mini-map. It is called Joyeux Voucher.
This is the item that needs to be collected to redeem a free copy of Kaeya’s new outfit. When you reach the quest marker, a Water Droplet will show up and you will have to follow it. It will take you to a Streaming Projector. Use it to enter the projection (known as Preprint).
You will enter a 2d side-scrolling platforming game mode. Here, obstacles will block your path.
You can exit the Preprint and remove the obstacle in the “real world” and then enter again to continue exploring. Once you are done with this Preprint, continue following the Water Droplet. You will discover a town where you will meet Kokomi. After the conversation ends, go and talk to Kokomi, Kaeya, and Eula. Also, don’t forget to unlock the teleport waypoint nearby.
When you’re done talking to everyone, a cutscene will play and then you need to keep following the quest marker. You will have to solve another Streaming Projector puzzle. You can solve the puzzle before entering the Preprint. Just push the two boxes in the opposite direction.
After solving the puzzle and collecting the component, follow the quest marker to return to the Silver Bottle Courtyard. After the cutscene plays, follow the quest marker to meet Ferdinand.
At this point, the ability to ride Choo Choo Carts will be unlocked. Ride it and reach the next destination. Use the Preprint to fix the track ahead. Continue riding the Choo Choo Cart. On your path, a challenge will begin. Used the skill and burst buttons to destroy flying golden balls while avoiding the brown balls. When you reach the destination, continue riding. You will be dropped off at a platform. From here, you will have to head towards the Rail Junction. At the junction, board the cart and ride ahead to find Jeroney. After the conversation with Jeroney ends, return to the junction.
At the junction, the ability to change the cart’s destination will be unlocked. You can open the map and see which flower leads where and change the cart’s line accordingly. Change it to an Amber flower to reach your next destination. After the conversation with Haddo, summon a cart to reach your destination. Inside this domain, the cart will be a very useful way of getting around.
At your destination, a cutscene will play. Reverse the direction of the cart and return to where you came from. The cart will continue on its path, there is no way to stop it. When you reach your destination, jump out of the cart. After the cutscene, ride the cart again. After the cutscene, return to the Silver Bottle Courtyard. This is the end of the quest.
Genshin Impact Secret Summer Paradise: Event Quest Part 2
Change the time to 8 am the next morning and talk to Idyia. Afterwards, follow the quest marker. After talking to Mayunah, head deeper into the forest and find yourself in front of a tent. After the cutscene, enter the tent. This tent is a puzzle domain. After a cutscene, you will be given a trial party of Eula and Collei.
Rotate the lamp to unveil the curtain. Inside, find another lamp to your right and rotate it. Go to the area in the middle and try to pick up the orange mirror. Fight the enemies that spawn. Return to the lamp and install the mirror. This will unveil another curtain. Enter the next area.
Continue ahead until you find another lamp. Rotate it. Go to the opposite end of the area and rotate the other lamp. Pick up the orange mirror nearby and install it into the lamp. This will unveil a curtain and reveal a Streaming Projector. Enter the Preprint and solve the puzzle. You will realize that this Preprint lets you travel to the other side of the area. Pick up the orange mirror, enter the Preprint, and go to the other side. Install the mirror in the lamp, which will unveil the next area.
After the cutscene, go to the platform on your left. Pick up one orange mirror and install it on the lamp. Pick up another orange mirror and install it on the first lamp. Rotate the first lamp, then the second one. Use the Streaming Projector to go to the next level, pick up the blue mirror, install it on the lamp, and rotate it. This is the end of the tent domain. After a cutscene outside the tent, return to the Silver Bottle Courtyard and talk to Kokomi. This is the end of the quest.
Genshin Impact Secret Summer Paradise: Event Quest Part 3
Players would not navigate the quest and wait until 8 am the next morning. They must go to the marked location and talk to Idiya. After the conversation, head to the next marked area which is a raised platform. At this location, summon a cart and ride it to visit a treehouse.
At the treehouse, players will have to open a door. They will have to enter and talk to the director. After the cutscene, look around for a ladder and climb up, then follow the circular path around the room to reach the upper floor, where the marker is. There is another door, open it. The quest marker should be followed. They will have to open another door on your way. After a conversation with the director, turn away and find the script in the attic. It is outside and above the theatre stage. There will be a Four-Leaf Clover, use it to reach the upper level.
Genshin Impact Secret Summer Paradise: Event Gameplay
Completing event quest part 2 will unlock four game modes. These are Spino Blaster, Sojourns of the Barking Fox, Dance of Flashing Thought, and Bing-Bang Finchball. They can be accessed from the event menu. There are multiple challenges under each game mode, and they will be gradually unlocked by July 11, 2023.
Spino Blaster
Navigate the quest and go to the marker. Talk to the NPC to unlock the challenge. Talk to him again to start it. The goal of this challenge is to shoot at floating balls. Some of these balls explode and hit nearby balls, some of them grant infinite ammo, and some of them reset your combo count. Be mindful of which ball you shoot at.
Sojourns of the Barking Fox
Navigate the quest and talk to the NPC to unlock the challenge. Teleport to the challenge location to start it. This challenge is very similar to the pet Sorush. The goal of this challenge is to pilot the Barking Fox and collect coins while avoiding obstacles.
Dance of Flashing Thought
This is a combat challenge. Navigate the quest and talk to the NPC to unlock the challenge. Go to the tent that was used as a domain in the second part of the event quest. This is the location of the combat domain. You can view the enemy list before creating your team.
Bing-Bang Finchball
Navigate the quest and talk to the NPC to unlock the challenge. This challenge functions kind of like Pinball. You can change the position and firing angle as well as the firing strength of the Finchball. The goal is to land the Finchball in the area that grants the highest score.

Free copy of Layla
Completing challenges will reward with Fascinating Phenocryst, which can be used to redeem more rewards including Primogems. After accumulating 1200 of them, you can obtain a free copy of Layla.
Free Kaeya skin
Collecting a total of 150 Joyeux Vouchers will let you redeem Kaeya’s new skin for free. This skin will be available in the shop for 1680 Genesis Crystals after the end of version 3.8.
