Genshin Impact Version 4.0: Tips to defeat new Enemies in the game

It won't be easy defeating these enemies!

Genshin Impact has introduced a brand new patch Version 4.0 As Light Falls Without Reason releasing the brand new region Fontaine and with it comes an assortment of new classes of bosses and enemies to defeat and farm materials of. Players should definitely keep in mind the new Elite enemies which are the Breacher Primuses, Large Breacher Primuses, and the Tainted Hydro Phantasms. These Enemies in particular currently available in the open world located at the new 4.0 Fontaine region. As such will drop an assortment of materials. Additionally, they will appear in the future Spiral Abyss rotations of Version 4.0.

The enemies discussed today can be farmed by following the Adventurer’s Handbook. The new mobs are all classified as high-tier Elite enemies. This means it may prove to be difficult to fight especially if the bosses are put in the Spiral Abyss. In this guide, we will give tips and tricks to navigate and defeat the new enemies of Version 4.0 in Genshin Impact.

How to defeat new enemies in Genshin Impact Version 4.0

Here we have listed the new enemies in the Genshin Impact version 4.0 update with tips to defeat them.

Tainted Hydro Phantasms

Genshin Impact Version 4.0 enemies

Today, with the Oceanids extirpated from Fontaine, strange elemental life forms have appeared in the waters. It is said that in Egeria’s era, the Oceanids often lived alongside humans and lived in the springs of clear waters dotted across the lands, and through this, they connected the waters of the world. But most died with their god, and for the survivors, the world no longer has any god they recognize.

  • Raging Stream: While in the enraged state, fires a continuous stream of water that deals 40% ATK as Hydro DMG every 0.5 seconds.
  • Furious Blast: While in the enraged state, fires a large projectile at the player, dealing 100% ATK as AoE Hydro DMG on hit.

Tips to defeat Tainted Water-Splitting Phantasm/Tainted Water-Spouting Phantasm in Genshin Impact Version 4.0

The Tainted Water Phantasm has an immunity to the Hydro element. So it is advisable to defeat the enemy using non-Hydro elements. The enemy will also be immune to being Frozen at one point. Other than that the Phantasm is easily defeated by many strong strikes and does not have a complicated mechanism as the other highly classified and new enemies. Be sure to avoid its attacks by using i-frames or just timing your dodges. This would prove to be effective, especially in the Spiral Abyss. The best way to defeat it is to use Dendro or Pyro attacks.

Breacher Primuses

Genshin Impact Version 4.0 enemies

A strange and mysterious life form that mostly appears in Elynas. The nature of a Breacher Primus defies known categories: they are not animals, plants, Shroom-Kin, or Elementals. The debate among scholars of Sumeru never formally reached a consensus on just what it is, until it was finally banned as a research topic. It has no known similarities with any other creatures on Teyvat.
