Sweeping FervorElemental Skill
Xinyan brandishes her instrument, dealing Pyro DMG on nearby opponents, forming a shield made out of her audience’s passion.
The shield’s DMG Absorption scales are based on Xinyan’s DEF and on the number of opponents hit.
Hitting 0-1 opponent grants Shield Level 1: AdLib.
Hitting 2 opponents grants Shield Level 2: Lead-In.
Hitting 3 or more opponents grants Shield Level 3: Rave, which will also deal intermittent Pyro DMG to nearby opponents. The shield has the following special properties: When unleashed, it infuses Xinyan with Pyro.
It has 250% DMG Absorption effectiveness against Pyro DMG.

Riff RevolutionElemental Burst
Strumming rapidly, Xinyan launches nearby opponents and deals Physical DMG to them, hyping up the crowd. The sheer intensity of the atmosphere will cause explosions that deal with Pyro DMG to nearby opponents.

Xinyan’s Passive

  • 1st Ascension Passive: Decreases the number of opponents Sweeping Fervor must hit to trigger each level of shielding.

Shield Level 2: Lead-In requirement reduced to 1 opponent hit.

Shield Level 3: Rave requirement reduced to 2 opponents hit or more.

2 Impromptu Opening  Riff Revolution’s Physical DMG has its CRIT Rate increased by 100% and will form a shield at Shield Level 3: Rave when cast.
3 Double-Stop  Increases the Level of Sweeping Fervor by 3. The maximum upgrade level is 15.
4 Wildfire Rhythm        Sweeping Fervor’s swing DMG decreases the opponent’s Physical RES by 15% for 12s.

6 Rockin’ in a Flaming WorldDecreases the Stamina Consumption of Xinyan’s Charged Attacks by 30%. Additionally, Xinyan’s Charged Attacks gain an ATK Bonus equal to 50% of her DEF.

For Xinyan her constellations are very important. For main DPS Xinyan C1 is a much-needed ATK speed bonus while C2 provides Xinyan with the highest power spike. Unfortunately, without constellations, Xinyan is a bit clunky and is overshadowed by other characters but with C2 and ahead she is an amazing unit.

Special Dish

Xinyan's special dish
Xinyan’s special dish

Each character in the Genshin Impact game will have a special dish. Its demonic appearance hides an absolutely demonic spiciness. Eat it, tear up, eat some more, and don’t stop till you drop! Surely only a demon could have invented such a dish.

Sets to farm for Xinyan in Genshin Impact

Xinyan is a weird character in the sense that her shield scales off DEF and her burst scales off ATK meaning there is a tradeoff between the two and it is up to the players to build Xinyan in either way. We suggest building a higher burst damage Xinyan for better returns.

Another thing that plagues Xinyan is her split in damage between Pyro and Physical damage, we suggest picking Physical damage over Pyro for higher and consistent damage output.

Main DPS

  • 2 pc Pale Flame and 2 pc Bloodstained Chivalry: Grants very high physical damage for both her main attack and burst.
  • 2 pc Bloodstained Chivalry/ Pale Flame and 2 pc Gladiator’s Finale/ Shimenawa’s Reminiscence : Provides physical damage bonus along with Attack buff.

Sub DPS

  • 2 pc Pale Flame and 2 pc Bloodstained Chivalry: Grants very high physical damage for both her main attack and burst.
  • 2 pc Bloodstained Chivalry/ Pale Flame and 2 pc Noblesse Oblige: For additional burst damage.

Support: 4 pc Tenacity of Milellith.

Best builds for the character

Xinyan can act as either as Main DPS, Sub DPS, or pure support used for the shield. She is best suited for the Sub DPS role and also is a good Main Dps but her support role is a niche and there are much better characters who can play this role.

Talent Priority

  • Main DPS : Normal Attack > Elemental Skill > Elemental Burst
  • Sub DPS : Elemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attack
  • Support : Elemental Skill > Elemental Burst > Normal Attack

Best weapons for Xinyan in Genshin Impact

Wolf’s Gravestone, Song of Broken Pines, and Skyward Pride are the best 5-star weapons.

Among 4 stars Serpent Spine, Lithic Blade, and Snow Tombed Starsilver are the best weapons with the f2p option Prototype Archaic not falling behind by much.

Best Team Comp

Xinyan pairs well in superconduct comp as she is both the main DPS and burst support as she can make use of the reduced enemy physical resistance. An example of such a team is Razor as main DPS, Rosaria/ Diona for cryo application, Xinyan, and the fourth slot can be taken by a healer preferably bennet for Pyro resonance.

Xinyan also works well in an electro-charged comp. The team comp consists of Xinyan, Sucrose, Xingqiu, and Beidou/ Fishcl. Lastly, Xinyan is a good support character for Hu tao as she provides her with the shield albeit a weak one, and also a pyro resonance for an attack buff.
