HAIKYU FLY HIGH is a thrilling volleyball-themed RPG from Garena. The game really puts effort into bringing up the classic comic and all its details. As I’ve been playing the game for a few months now, it’s important to share some insights with you. So now, I’m going to present to you HAIKYU!! FLY HIGH bond guide so that it becomes a blessing in disguise.
If you’re just starting, we have covered some guides for the game. You can go through the redeem codes and beginner’s guide for a head start. Besides, you can check our latest character tier list, diamonds, and customer support guide. And do not forget to check our review as well.
What are Bonds, and how do they work in HAIKYU!! FLY HIGH
Bonds are a special feature in-game, only activates when the players are in a team. The Bond Gallery shows a total of 94 types of bonds possible. There are two key types of Bonds:
- Deployment Bonds: Yes, you need to deploy the players on the field. Activates when the players who share the same bond are also present on the court. You get boosts, like more morale gain, with these bonds. So the player bond, if you collect them, receives stat bonuses by obtaining all players in a bond group. The Bond level increases as the Star Level of all players in the group increases. Higher Bond Levels improve Bond bonuses.
- Passive Bonds: You do not need to deploy the players on the field; rather, just flexing some muscles by sitting on the bench can also activate your passive bond. You get advantages like grant bonuses. So, without actively deploying the team on the field, this is where you can get a little relaxed.

In some Bonds, only one or several players can receive bond effect bonuses. The bond will only appear in a player’s bond list and their corresponding school’s bond list when that player receives the bonus. On the other hand, the Deployment bond only activates when all players in a bond group are on the court, enabling the use of bond skills or activating the group’s Bond bonus.
However, the bond system is important to recover the player morale. When you go to your player section, you can check the selected player’s bond. Currently, the game features 94 types of bonds, which is not a lot, considering the number of players it has.
How does it work? As stated above, bond increases your team morale, and you can perform the signature of certain players. When activated, you will see the players glowing. So, this is basically a power-up for the team by increasing the overall morale.
How to unlock the Bonds in HAIKYU!! FLY HIGH
Unlocking the bonds is through the progression system, and as the game uses a gacha system to get the characters, you will have to rely on that. Bonds have different levels as well, and you can enjoy those power-ups by levelling up the players.
Passive bonds have a general feature that you will receive a slightly better performance based on the player you’re using (also based on who he shares a bond with). But it works the most when the other player is near, like in the bench list. When you’re pulling for players with high bonds, do not look just by seeing the bonds beside them. Rather, you should check who’s getting a buff from the bond.

You can check the bonds from the team lineup section before entering a match, and also get an idea of which players to take on the team so that a bond may get activated. Based on which bond you may get, you should decorate your playing squad and reshuffle if needed.
And the million-dollar question comes now: how to unlock the bond. Since the bonds are unlocked based on which players share them and who’s on your list, you can unlock bonds only by recruiting players through the pulling system. So, collect pull tickets and claim the desired players, and then unlock the bonds.
