Step by step guide to add friends from your contact in Pokemon Go
Each and every trainer has a unique 12-digit Trainer code and a QR code which they can use as a referral code to add up others as your friends. Here are some steps you should follow:
- Grant permission to access your device’s contacts.
- Navigate your Trainer Profile in map view.
- On the top of your screen open Friend list and click on Friends tab.
- Tab contacts.
- To promote and conform your name and sync your contact with Pokémon Go select add Friends from contact. You can even change your name anytime from Niantic Profile account settings.
Note: With Pokémon Go, you are able to sync only 2000 contacts.
- After this process is done you can browse your contact, you can even add them to your friend list and invite them to play Pokémon Go.
- Tap invite to play and send them invitation through SMS or email and don’t forget to share your referral code.
- For trainers who already exist, send them a friend request. As your name will be attached along with your trainer’s name so it won’t be difficult for them to recognize you.
Remember trainers, once you have synced your contacts even after adding new ones you don’t need to sync it again and again. Your contacts will periodically be re-synced when you start the app. Contacts are not stored permanently in Pokémon Go, it will get expired if you revoke access.
