Heartopia is built around fun routines, exploration, and building your home. Most of the time, the game encourages you to farm, decorate, fish, and socialize without pressure. However, every once in a while, Heartopia introduces a resource that tests your patience and planning. One of the earliest examples of this is the Roaming Oak Tree.

At first glance, the Roaming Oak Tree sounds like just another regular tree. Yet very quickly, you’ll realize it plays a critical role in crafting some of Heartopia’s most beautiful and high-end furniture and garden decorations.

This Heartopia Roaming Oak Tree Guide breaks everything down step by step, explains what the Roaming Oak Tree actually is, and shows you exactly where and how to find it once it becomes available. What is the Roaming Oak Tree in Heartopia

The Roaming Oak Tree, also known as Oak-Oak, is not just a regular tree like the ones you chop for basic wood. Instead, it’s a living, wandering character tied directly to Heartopia’s story. Unlike normal trees that respawn automatically, the Roaming Oak Tree actively moves around the island and becomes stuck due to its ever-growing roots.

The Roaming Oak Tree is not available from the start of the game. You must unlock it by playing through the main story. This ensures that players encounter Oak-Oak naturally while exploring the forest rather than stumbling upon it randomly without context.

Where to find the Roaming Oak Tree in Heartopia

Finding the Roaming Oak Tree in Heartopia starts by following a particular story quest, not exploration. Before Oak-Oak ever appears on your map, you must complete a key main quest called “Astralis in Forest.” This quest is the gateway to the Roaming Oak Timber and introduces you to the characters who guide you through this quest.

During the Astralis in Forest quest, you’ll meet two forest rangers named Patti and Cassie. Both characters play important roles in explaining the forest’s mysteries and your connection to it. As you complete their short errands, Cassie eventually introduces a riddle about an “energetic friend” trapped in hardship. While the riddle sounds intimidating, Heartopia doesn’t make it hard for players to solve.

Instead, the game places a quest marker directly on your map, guiding you toward Oak-Oak’s current location. This ensures that you don’t wander aimlessly through the forest. Once you follow the marker, you’ll find Oak-Oak stuck in the ground somewhere within the forest.

At this point, you’ll interact with Oak-Oak using your pickaxe tool. And don’t worry about haram Oak-Oak, cause you’ll only be striking the tree to free it from its roots. Once you free Oak-Oak from his overgrown roots, you’ll be rewarded with three pieces of Roaming Oak Timber.

After freeing Oak-Oak for the first time, you’ll return to Cassie and Patti to conclude the quest. From that moment onward, the Roaming Oak Tree becomes part of your daily gameplay. Sadly, Oak-Oak continues to roam the island and, due to its constantly growing roots, becomes stuck again somewhere else each day.
