These plots surround your house and give you access to more terrain, letting you build larger gardens and more.
While you get a modest amount of land to work with, that limited space quickly starts to feel restrictive once you unlock more furniture, decorations, hobbies, and building options. However, unlocking Home Plots in Heartopia is not instant, and it requires you to progress a bit through the game.

What are Home Plots in Heartopia
Home Plots are the individual sections of land that make up your residential property in Heartopia. Every player begins the game with a small number of plots that include their house and a bit of surrounding terrain. These initial plots allow players to plant crops or decorate outdoor areas, but that’s only a fraction of what your property can eventually become.
As you unlock and purchase more plots, your home expands outward, giving you additional space to customize. These plots can be used for a wide variety of purposes. As you unlock more systems in Heartopia, having additional land becomes increasingly valuable, especially when juggling multiple hobbies like Gardening, Cooking, Fishing, or Pet Care.
However, Home Plots are not unlocked automatically. You cannot simply buy land whenever you want. Instead, Heartopia ties property expansion to a progression system that rewards consistency and daily engagement.
How to unlock Home Plots in Heartopia
Unlocking Home Plots in Heartopia revolves entirely around the D.G. Member’s Guild. And understanding how this system works is essential if you want to expand your property efficiently and without frustration.
To begin with, increasing your Home Plot limit requires you to rank up your D.G. Member’s level. This guild represents your standing as a contributing town developer, and as your rank increases, you unlock various perks. One of the most important perks is the ability to own more Home Plots.
How to increase Developer Guild Level in Heartopia
You increase your D.G. Member’s Guild rank by earning Contribution Medals. These medals are primarily obtained by completing Daily Resident Requests, which are tasks given by NPC residents around town. These requests are designed to align with normal gameplay activities, so you will often complete them naturally as you play.
Resident requests can include gathering specific materials, delivering items, catching fish or insects, taking photos, or interacting with certain locations. Each completed request rewards you with Contribution Medals, which accumulate over time and allow you to rank up within the guild.
However, there is an important limitation to keep in mind. You can only accept five Daily Resident Requests per day, and these requests reset at 6 AM. Because of this cap, consistency matters. If you want to unlock Home Plots as quickly as possible, you should aim to complete all five requests every day.
Unlocking Home Plots in Heartopia
Once you’ve earned enough Contribution Medals, you can open the D.G. Member’s Guild app on your in-game watch and manually rank up. As your guild rank increases, your maximum home plot limit expands at specific milestones. The first major upgrade happens at Level 4, where your plot limit increases from 2 to 4 plots.
It’s also important to note that unlocking plot capacity does not automatically give you the land. Increasing your plot limit simply allows you to purchase more plots. After ranking up, you still need to buy each new plot manually using Gold.
To purchase a Home Plot, open the D.G. Member’s Guild app and navigate to the Plot tab on the top right. From there, you’ll see available plots for your property. Once you select an available plot, you’ll need to pay the required amount of Gold. After purchase, construction begins immediately, and you gain access to the new plot right away.
