Here in this beginners guide, we will offer help to get you started on Mission Zero and then make your way further into the game.

Gameplay Overview

Mission Zero by NetEase Games is a unique game that focuses on competitive gameplay based on stealth rather than hardcore action or shooting like other major titles. Instead, the game focuses on finesse, stealth, and mastery of timing as the primary elements which are necessary to excel at this game. In the game, players take on the role of either an agent from Sirius or from Mobius, two organizations that are at war with each other and ready to bring each other down, no matter the cost.

Sirius is an underground organization consisting of rebels and other free men. Their sole aim is to take down the capitalist organization Morbius and expose their vile acts and inhuman experiments which went on unknown to the general public. Meanwhile, Mobius has employed a security faction to help safeguard their sensitive data and to take harsh steps against Sirius if necessary.

Each game features a total of six players in a four versus two-format. The Sirius faction is assigned four players while the Monius faction is assigned two players. Sirius players are termed Invaders while Mobius players are termed Chasers. The purpose of Chasers is to carry out their confidential missions without getting noticed by the Chasers and escaping them. Chasers on the other hand have to see through the disguises of the Invaders and take them down before time runs out.

Introducing the Basics of Mission Zero

As a beginner in the game Mission Zero, you might feel out of depth with the finesse and intricacies which are involved in this game but do not worry. But often a little guidance can go a long way in order to fire up your interest and motivation to play a game and we are here to do just that. So here we present the most important things you need to look out for as a beginner in Mission Zero.

Choosing between Sirius and Mobius

The first thing you need to do after entering the Mission Zero game is to pick between Sirius and Mobius and choose the side you want to play for in the game. As discussed before Sirius players are four in number and are known as Invaders while the players hailing from Mobius are called Chasers and are two in number.

Players need to know before picking a faction what perks they come with. Invaders are more suited for stealth purposes and can utilize their surroundings to the utmost potential to hide and conceal themselves. Their abilities are mainly passive, such as being able to silently take down Mobius associates, changing their attires to blend in, and making use of props.

Chasers on the other hand have a much more aggressive set of abilities that enables them to efficiently handle the Invaders and take them down if necessary. Therefore, as they require more brute force, their skills are more explosive and have more flair. Now it is up to the player as to which playstyle suits them more and they can pick their faction based on it.

Mission Zero Beginners Guide: Tips and Tricks

1. Always be Observant and Vigilant

The most important thing you should keep in mind when playing as a Chaser is to always be vigilant and be on your feet. Each and every movement should be tracked as you do not know who is an Invader and who is not. Every observation and note you make about the surroundings is crucial for you in order to notice any irregularities or anomalies in your surroundings and subsequently bust the Invaders who want to break in.

2. Do not rush, and adopt a more calculative playstyle

This piece of advice is for the Invaders who are looking to get past the Chasers and complete their confidential mission to sabotage Mobius in some way. The key is to take the whole mission slow and not rush it because hurrying and rushing objectives is what most often leads to losing the game. It is much easier to blow your cover in front of the Chasers when you are not being meticulous enough. This could be solved just with a bit more patience and waiting for certain opportunities to present themselves rather than always pushing for it yourself.

3. Use your Disguises efficiently

Disguises are a major part of the game and they exist for intelligent plays by the player. When used properly they can make the difference between a win or a loss. They require a certain level of finesse to pull off, and when done, they can sure be very advantageous to the Invader who uses them. Also, be careful so as to not attract the attention of other people when knocking down a character in order to pick up their attire for disguise.

4. Utilise your Tech carefully

The game offers a lot of advanced technological devices in order to make the scenarios even more exciting and leaves more room for unorthodox plays. The devices aid the players in their fights against opposing factions. But often players get distracted in the heat of the moment and lose their cool, and subsequently the game as well.

So this is all for today. As the saying goes, “Rome wasn’t built in a day“. Therefore you must persist and persevere if you are really determined to get better at the game.
