New All-rounder type Pokémon Empoleon is now available in Pokémon Unite. Starting September 19th, you can participate in the Empoleon’s Hoarfrost Emperor Challenge Event to get its Unite License, Background, Frame, and many other exciting rewards for free. In this article, we’ll walk you through the Pokémon Unite Empoleon Challenge Event and how to get Empoleon’s Unite License for free.
How to get Empoleon’s Unite License from the Empoleon Challenge Event
To get Empoleon’s exclusive Unite License, you’d have to navigate to the Empoleon’s Hoarfrost Emperor Challenge section of the event. In this event, you’d have to progress through a board-like map, completing tasks and collecting Emperor Hoarfrost Coins. These coins can be used to redeem Empoleon’s Unite License and other exclusive rewards.
The following are some tips to note while participating in the Empoleon’s Hoarfrost Emperor Challenge.
- When you log in during the event, you can obtain up to 1 die per day. You can roll a die to advance the number of squares rolled. You can own only one die obtained by logging in at a time.
- If you’re not happy with a number you rolled, you can use Aeos coins to reroll the die for a guaranteed higher number. You can reroll each die up to 5 times.
- When you land on a square, you’ll unlock tile missions. You cannot roll the die again until you’ve completed one of the tile missions for the square you’re on. You can also complete tile missions by using 5 Aeos gems.
- The number of Hoarfrost emperor coins you’ll obtain when reaching the end of each map has a fixed probability. 100 hoarfrost emperor coins – 90% chance, while 150 hoarfrost emperor coins have a 10% chance.
- Landing on a lucky square will allow you to advance 1-3 squares randomly.
- If you have more than one die, you’ll roll the die obtained by logging in first.
- Besides obtaining dice by logging in every day, you can also obtain up to 10 additional dice from the Support Log-In Bonus and Coin Collection Challenge.

On accumulating enough Hoarfrost Emperor Coins, you’ll be able to exchange them for exciting new rewards. These rewards are highlighted below:
- Empoleon’s Unite License – 1000 Hoarfrost Emperor Coins
- Empoleon’s Exclusive Background – 100 Hoarfrost Emperor Coins
- Empoleon’s themed Frame – 50 Hoarfrost Emperor Coins
- 300 Item Enhancers – 50 Hoarfrost Emperor Coins
- 7-day Battle Point Boost Card – 80 Hoarfrost Emperor Coins
- 3-day Battle Point Boost Card – 40 Hoarfrost Emperor Coins
- 7-day Aeos Coin Boost Card – 160 Hoarfrost Emperor Coins
- 3-day Aeos Coin Boost Card – 80 Hoarfrost Emperor Coins
- 30 Aeos Tickets – 10 Hoarfrost Emperor Coins
On obtaining Empoleon’s Unite License from this event, you’d be rewarded with an Exclusive Profile Background and an exclusive Empoleon’s Holowear Unite Spray. Since it’d take a couple of days to finally obtain Empoleon’s Unite License, you can participate in any of the following events for added rewards and bonuses:
- Hoarfrost Emperor Support – Login Bonus event: This event grants extra dice when you successfully log in to the game for 7 days during this event.
- Hoarfrost Emperor Commemorative Event: This event allows you to get trial cards for Empoleon’s Unite License. You’d only have to complete some exciting match missions to unlock these rewards.
