Pokémon Unite Umbreon Guide: Umbreon and its movesets
As expected, Umbreon has a combination of Dark-type and several other types of moves. Here are the details of those movesets in Pokémon Unite.
Basic Attack
It becomes a boosted attack with every third attack, lunging at an opposing Pokémon and dealing damage. This boosted attack also restores the user’s HP. The lower the user’s remaining HP, the more HP is restored.
Passive – Anticipation (Eevee)
When the Pokémon would be shoved, thrown, or left unable to act, that effect is negated. This Ability goes on cooldown after it’s triggered.
Passive- Inner Focus (Umbreon)
When the Pokémon would be shoved, thrown, or left unable to act, that effect is negated. For a short time, the Pokémon also becomes immune to hindrances, and its defense and Sp. Def. is increased. This ability goes on cooldown after it’s triggered.
Ability 1- Swift (Eevee)
This Normal-type move has the user shoot star-shaped rays, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon and applying a mark to them. The user’s movement speed is increased when it is near the marked opposing Pokémon. When the user deals damage to marked opposing Pokémon, its next basic attack becomes a boosted attack.
- Type- Buff
- CD- 6s
Ability 1 upgrades at Level 4
At Level 4, Swift evolves into either of these 2 moves based on your choice:
Mean Look | Foul Play |
This Dark-type move has the user pin an opposing Pokémon with a dark, arresting look. For a short time, the opposing Pokémon becomes surrounded by a black zone, which it cannot leave. While the user is in the black zone, its basic attacks become boosted attacks, and it deals increased damage. Type– Hindrance CD- 8s | This Dark-type move has the user charge, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon it hits and decreasing their movement speed. If the charge hits an opposing Pokémon, this move can be used again. If this move is used again, the user sweeps in front of itself with its tail, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon it hits, decreasing their movement speed, and shoving them. The second stage of this move deals increased damage based on the Attack of the opposing Pokemon hit in the first stage. The higher their Attack, the higher the damage. Type- Dash CD- 5s |
Upgrade: Increases the black zone’s duration. | Upgrade: The user’s next basic attack after using this move becomes a boosted attack. |
Ability 2- Fake Tears
- Type- Area
- CD- 8s
Has the user feigned crying, dealing damage to nearby opposing Pokémon and decreasing their Defense and Sp. Def. Also grants the user a shield.
Ability 2 upgrades at Level 6
At Level 6 Fake Tears evolves into either of these 2 moves based on your choice:
Snarl | Wish |
The skill has the user yell as if ranting about something, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in the area around it and decreasing their Attack, Sp. Atk., and movement speed. Also grants the user a shield. The user continues to yell for a set amount of time, then it lets loose a final shout, leaving opposing Pokémon in the area around it unable to act and further decreasing their Attack and Sp. Atk. The Attack and Sp. Atk decreases can stack. Type- Debuff CD-9s | The skill has the user making a wish for an ally Pokémon. For a set amount of time, that ally Pokémon receives reduced damage, and then afterwards, the wish comes true and restores HP to that Pokémon. If the targeted ally is knocked out before the wish comes true, a different ally Pokemon near it takes the wish instead. Type– Recovery CD– 6.5s |
Upgrade: Increases the length of time the final shout leaves opposing Pokémon unable to act. | Upgrade: Further reduces the damage received by the targeted ally Pokémon. It also increases the amount of HP restored when the wish comes true. |
Unite Move- Moonlight Prance
This skill has the user continually recover HP when it is not in combat. It also has the user leap up and absorb the shield of opposing Pokémon in the area around it, taking them for themselves. Once the user lands, it deals damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect and leaves them unable to act. For a short time afterward, when an opposing Pokémon in the area of effect is granted a shield, the user absorbs a portion of it and takes it for himself.

Pokémon Unite Umbreon Gameplay Tips
Our Pokémon Unite Umbreon guide includes the perfect game plan for the early and late game during Unite battles.
Early Game
Anticipation lets Eevee ignore the hindrances, so utilize this passive ability in order to farm Jungle Pokémon and reach level 3 quickly. Prioritize learning Fake Tears to deal AoE damage, gain a shield, and lower enemy Pokémon defenses. Learn Swift later on as it only focuses on marking a single target despite providing Umbreon with an Attack Speed boost.
Once Umbreon evolves, Anticipation becomes Inner Focus. This upgraded passive ability lets Umbreon ignore hindrances while also increasing its Defense and Sp. Def., which makes it perfect for defending goal zones and securing objectives that spawn on the Top and Bottom lanes. Choose Fake Tears as your first AoE damaging ability, then farm the Bunnelbies along the lane.
Late Game
Use Snarl to deal AoE damage and decrease enemy Attack, Sp. Attack, and movement speed on enemy Pokemon surrounding you, as well as gaining EXP from Altaria and Swablus. Then help your allies secure Regieleki when it appears at the top lane, otherwise secure Regice, Registeel, or Regirock at the bottom lane.
Stick with your team to hunt targets, secure objectives, and push lanes. Reach level 13 before or when Rayquaza spawns for a fully-upgraded moveset. One must make sure to have Moonlight Prance available when Rayquaza spawns. This helps your allies win a teamfight and secure Rayquaza.
Positioning of Umbreon
The best lane for Umbreon would be the Bottom one, especially for early Exp.

- Choose the moveset that best synergizes with the held items that Umbreon’s equipped with in order to get the best outcome.
- Reach level 4 quickly, evolve into Umbreon, and learn an upgraded damaging move to the earliest.
- Lastly, players must avoid using it much in Ranked Matches until they master all of its moves and playing style. They should use offline mode or Standard Battles as their Practice Arena.
