Tower of Fantasy Lan Guide: Character Information

Lan is a character that is said to have appeared out of nowhere, claiming to be from a place called Domain 9 which isn’t recorded in any databases. She has a peculiar appearance, wearing unique clothing and a headpiece resembling a fiery bird, and wields an umbrella that releases massive amounts of energy when in battle.

Despite this, Lan is friendly and enjoys food and travel when she has leisure time. Lan’s partner from Domain 9, Kanro, often refers to them as Zhuque. Best Matrices Build for Lan in Tower of Fantasy

Lan is a Simulcrum and her weapon is a Flame weapon with Defense attributes tied to her kit. It’s no surprise that her Best-in-Slot matrices are her own Matrices where the 2-piece bonus set increases her Flame attack and Flame damage when players equip at least one Flame weapon, which can even be equipped off-field.

Her 4-piece on the other hand, grants the player’s weapon a certain elemental damage percentage per elemental weapon equipped which also grants a large amount of final damage for each alternative weapon. Aside from Lan’s matrices, you can also equip Lin’s matrices if you do not have Lan’s signature matrices. Annabella’s matrices are also highly recommended for usability purposes. In this guide, we will best Matrices builds for Lan in Tower of Fantasy.

Although the Standard matrices can be equipped along with the Limited matrices, they are not really ideal if you are aiming to maximize Lan’s full potential. Samir and Crow’s 2-piece matrices provide a base stat of 60% increased damage which is lackluster due to the damage split. A stronger choice would also be to give the 2-piece Matrices of bothHaboela and Scylla that gives a 75% personal damage boost compared to the Standard matrices.

Lan Matrix (SSR)

  • 2-piece set: When equipped with at least 1 flame weapon, increase flame ATK by 6% / 7% / 8% / 9% and flame damage by 3.2% / 3.8% / 4.4% / 5%. This Matrix’s effect is also active in the off-hand slot, but only the set with the highest star rating will take effect.
  • 4-piece set: Gain different effects based on the number of different elemental weapons equipped: Increase flame/frost/physical/volt damage by 4% / 5% / 6% / 7% for every flame/frost/physical/volt weapon equipped. Increase final damage by 5% / 6% / 7% / 8% for every altered weapon equipped. This Matrix’s effect is also active in the off-hand slot, but only the set with the highest star rating will take effect.

Lin Matrix (SSR)

2-piece set: Increase ATK by 2.1%/2.6%/3.1%/3.6% on hit for 18 seconds, stacking up to 5 times. Only the effect of the highest level is applied when obtained repeatedly.

Annabella Matrix (SSR)

  • 2-piece set: After hitting a target with a flame weapon, increase final damage by 3%/3.4%/3.8%/4.2% and final crit rate by 2%/2%/2.4%/2.4% for 25 seconds, stacking up to 2 times. Only the effect with the highest star rating is applied when obtained repeatedly.
  • 4-piece set: When equipping 2 or more flame weapons, gain Flowing Fire, which increases final damage by 7%/8%/9%/10%, and increases crit damage by an additional 12%/14%/16%/18% for 25 seconds after landing a critical hit. For every 3 charged attacks that hit the target, restore 1 dodge attempt. Cooldown: 2 seconds. Only the effect with the highest star rating is applied when obtained repeatedly.

Scylla Matrix (SSR)

  • 2-piece set: Increase crit damage to targets with less than 60% HP by 24%/30%/36%/42%.
  • 4-piece set: Increases Ice, Fire, Volt, Physical, and Altered damage by 15%/17%/20%/24% when 2 or more weapons of different elements are equipped. This effect is also active in the off-hand slot, but only the set with the highest star rating will take effect.

Haboela Matrix (SSR)

  • 2-piece set: Increases final damage by 12%/14%/17%/21%.
  • 4-piece set: Increases final damage by 15%/17%/20%/24%. This effect is also active in the off-hand slot, but only the set with the highest star rating will take effect.

Best Team Comps for Lan in Tower of Fantasy

Lan is a Flame Defense Simulacrum that enables her to stay on-field and off-field as much as she can to deal with her own personal damage. Her main damage comes from her Parasols which deal extra damage when placed. It is advisable to pair her weapon up with a Flame Weapon or Support weapon to take advantage of the Flame Resonance. In a Lan team with Annabella, there are two distinct play-styles, one with Lan as the Main DPS and another one with Annabella as the Main DPS. Here is the full breakdown of the suggested team comps for Lan.

Lan (Main DPS)+ Annabella + Lin

With Lan as the Main DPS, you first start with the rotation with Lin on-field. Use her signature Moonlight Real and then afterward use Lan’s auto attacks to spawn her Parasols, followed by her Skills. Switch to Annabella where you dodge 3 times to compensate for the lag and utilize her bullets. Discharge back into Lan to use her auto attacks and her Skills for around a couple of seconds. Repeat the rotation by switching to Lin again to use her Moonlight Realm.

Lan + Annabella (Main DPS) + Lin

While Lan does significantly proves more damage output than Annabella, one of the biggest benefits of using Annabella is that you can benefit from a huge 30% trait on-field increase, which helps with all the passive damage coming from Lin and Lan. While running Annabella as Main DPS, it is recommended that players equip her with Annabella’s matrices, or else your dodge time won’t be enough to fill in the downtime. The full rotation is to use Annabella’s bullets off cool-down, then switch to Lan to do auto attacks. Finally, players would switch to their third Weapon to deal any damage or provide.
