Tower of Fantasy just released its first Altered Weapon with a new Limited Banner for the Simulacrum ‘Lin’ in the latest 2.1 Version update. Lin is the first playable weapon in Tower of Fantasy that has an entirely new Element from the rest. Her Element is ‘Altered’ and she is a DPS weapon, hence can enable the DPS Resonance. She provides a wide amount of utility to other Element teams while also dealing huge amounts of damage mid-air. In this guide, we will learn more about the abilities of Lin in Tower of Fantasy, her best matrices, team comps, and the materials required to level her up.
Tower of Fantasy Lin Guide: Character Information
As Ruby‘s guardian and the Archon of Mirroria, Lin’s responsibilities can be nearly overwhelming, but her steadfastness and commitment to her duties always shine through. She is a young officer who walks with an aura of strength. A renowned Executor, the dutiful Lin is immensely popular amongst the residents of Mirroria and an idol in their eyes.
She is a clean freak and can’t stand a single speck of dust. She has very high standards both for herself and others. The trait makes most people think that she is a stickler for rules, but she is actually amicable and can be reasoned with.
Her weapon ‘Shadoweave’, in its initial design, shows it to be a lightweight and covertly concealed weapon, but it’s changed to a heavy blade by Lin’s own request. It is heavy and not like a concealed weapon at all.

Best Matrices Build for Lin in Tower of Fantasy
Lin can exploit these two matrices the most based on her kit and playstyle. She plays a DPS role and can utilize both her Matrices and also Claudia’s matrices. In this guide, we will discuss the best Matrices build for Lin in Tower of Fantasy, along with all of their roles.
Lin Matrix (SSR)
- 2-piece Set: Increase ATK by 2.1%/2.6%/3.1%/3.6% on hit for 18 seconds, stacking up to 5 times. Only the effect of the highest level is applied when obtained repeatedly.
- 4-piece Set: Every 5m traveled within Moonlight Realm grants 1 stack of Moonlight, increasing final damage by 4%/4.9%/5.8%/6.7% for 15 seconds, stacking up to 3 times. This Matrix’s effect is also active in the off-hand slot, but only the set with the highest star rating will take effect.
Claudia Matrix (SSR)
- 2-piece Set: Increase damage by 13%/17%/20%/23% when hitting a target in mid-air or initiating an aerial attack. Reset double-jump upon hitting the target in mid-air.
- 4-piece Set: Hitting an enemy with a skill reduces the cooldowns of all weapon skills by 1.5/2/2.5/3 seconds and increases the damage of discharge skills by 58%/80%/103%/126% for 15 seconds.
Best Team Comps for Lin in Tower of Fantasy
Lin is a very flexible weapon to use and hence can be put into many sorts of team compositions due to her Altered Element, as she can provide buffs and amplify damage in all Elements. Nevertheless, here are some fun and recommended team comps you can use to maximize her damage potential.
Cobalt-B + Lin + Ruby (Flame Team)
Lin’s ‘Moonlight Realm’ stays permanent in this team comp. You should start and end each cycle with the Skill cooldown of Cobalt-B’s ‘Barrage’. This team can extend the duration of the Moonlight Realm when burning the target enemy due to her burning and Ion Scorch effects with Cobalt-B’s ‘Barrage’ and ‘Close Quarters’ and maximize Ruby’s burning damage with ‘Supernova’. Furthermore, it can deal additional flame damage to shielded targets.
Saki Fuwa + Lin + Frigg (Frost Team)
With the Moonlight Realm activated, it will increase Frost’s attack within the realm. Double Ice Elements is due to the Frost Resonance being enabled. Saki Fuwa’s ‘Surge’ Burst will exert the damage burst of Frigg’s ‘Fimbulwinter’.
Samir + Lin + Nemesis (Volt Team)
This team has a chance of providing constant dodge attacks due to the chance of costing no dodge attempts. Within the Moonlight Realm, the Volt team can deal additional damage while launching dodge attacks and provide additional volt damage.
Claudia + Lin + Shiro (Physical Team)
A physical-focused team such as this can deal additional damage to targets within the Moonlight Realm range every second. Shiro’s ‘Full Bloom’ can ensure a stable release and enables you to make quick swaps with Lin and Claudia to deal more increased damage.
Some other mixed teams include: (Nemesis + Lin + Ruby) and (Tsubasa + Lin + Samir)
