The winners of the Publish Me Festival 2022 for independent mobile game creators have been revealed by international mobile game publisher AppQuantum. Campfire Cat Cafe by Skyborne Games Inc. won first place and the top prize, which was a $20,000 development budget, in the competition’s grand final yesterday.
Hero Adventure: RPG Time by Armadillo Games and Merge Harvest by Bonanza Games LLC came in second and third, respectively, not far behind. The first received a budget for the development of $15,000, while the second received a budget of $10,000. A $5,000 budget was awarded to another game, Lost Twins 2 by Playdew, for receiving an honorable mention.
The Publish Me Festival 2022 winners were selected by a multinational jury
The Publish Me 2022 contest, which was run by AppQuantum and WN Conference, attracted 139 entries from teams and lone developers worldwide between June 3 and July 21, 2022. A global jury made up of representatives from AppQuantum, Neskin Games, My Games, FatPony, Creative Mobile, and many other companies chose the winners.
It was a joy to see so many promising projects by really talented developers worldwide. We believe that people making the games are the main component of their success, and as such, we’re always on the lookout for studios with whom we can work together to propel a potentially good game to hit status. The grand final also featured a virtual conference where spectators could get advice from some of the best in the business, including representatives of Imperia Online, Neskin Games, Esigame, AppQuantum, and others. The roundtable discussion and the lectures covered a wide range of subjects, including iterative development, monetization, limited-time events, and game creation and publication.
