Atelier Resleriana is set to shutdown the global version on March 28, 2025, after just one year of service

Yet another one comes to an end...

Story Highlights
  • Atelier Resleriana is a cinematic alchemy RPG, also known as Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator.
  • The developers have planned to launch various in-game events leading up to the termination date.
  • You can use any remaining Lodestar Gems to perform actions like Wishes until the end-of-service date.

KOEI TECMO GAMES has announced the shutdown of service of their RPG, Atelier Resleriana, on March 28, 2025. Based on the popular Atelier series of games, the game initially launched pre-registration in Japan on August 11, 2023, followed by a global pre-registration on November 21, 2023, before the worldwide launch on January 25, 2024.

Atelier Resleriana is shutting down as the devs have struggled to meet players’ standards

For those unaware, Atelier Resleriana is a cinematic alchemy RPG in the Atelier franchise, which is also known as Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator. The game features a stunning world, charming character designs, and an engaging storyline. Set in the kingdom of Lantarna, you get to play as the new protagonist, embarking on an epic journey to revive alchemy alongside various charming characters.

Unfortunately, the Atelier Resleriana team has announced that the game will cease all operations on  March 28th, 2025, stating, “We are unable to continue these pursuits at a satisfactory standard for our players, we have made the difficult decision to end our service.

You will be able to play and use any unused Lodestar Gems till the termination date

The game has already disabled all in-game purchases following the end-of-service announcement. However, if you still have Lodestar Gems, you can use them until the service terminates. While the game may prompt you to purchase Lodestar Gems if you lack enough to perform certain actions, purchasing them is no longer possible.

Finally, on March 28, all game operations will cease, and you won’t be able to access the game anymore. On a brighter note for the fans, the devs have planned to launch in-game events that will run until the game shutdowns, including the second phase of the Main Story Chapter 18 Episodes, and more. For more details about all the upcoming events, you can check out their event schedule.

While it’s always sad to see a game sunset, some fans had anticipated this outcome, while many others are deeply saddened by this news. I strongly believe that when games are discontinued, the devs should consider releasing an offline version for the dedicated fans who wish to continue playing the game.
