- BGMI esports player Wizzy has reportedly passed away, shocking the community.
- Reports say she had recently gotten engaged to Dragon Esports player Superboi.
- The incident comes weeks after Free Fire player Tahir “TahirFuego” Mukhtar’s tragic passing.
Yet another tragic news has struck the Indian esports community, as well-known Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) female esports player Wizzy has passed away. She was known for her participation in a number of BGMI tournaments.
As reported by TalkEsports and details circulating within the community, her death was the result of self-harm. The incident comes shortly after she had reportedly gotten engaged to her boyfriend, Dragon Esports player Superboi, just a week earlier.
The Myth Hawks player had competed in BMPS 2024 and the BGMI Challenger Series
Wizzy, whose real name was Saniya Nigam, was a popular name in the BGMI competitive scene. She is known to have competed in tournaments such as the BGMI Pro Series (BMPS) 2024 and the BGMI Challenger Series.

The Challenger Series serves as a qualifying event for the BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) 2025, one of the prominent BGMI esports competitions. At the same event, Wizzy also shared her thoughts on her first LAN experience and how she could improvise her gameplay with experience.
While this is definitely disturbing news for all the fans following her content and life, some sources confirm that the esports player posted a video on social media saying “everything is over,” which was quickly deleted.
This news is coming just a few weeks after the passing of Tahir ‘TahirFuego’ Mukhtar. The former Free Fire professional esports athlete and content creator also passed away after a reported self-harm incident on January 31, 2026.

In light of Wizzy’s reported passing, once again we’re reminded how important mental health awareness and player support systems are within competitive gaming.
Our condolences go out to Wizzy’s family, friends, teammates, and everyone affected by this loss. If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health challenges, reaching out to trusted individuals or professionals is a must.
