- Black Beacon is a solid action RPG with great visuals, characters, a solid weapon and specialty system, and more.
- You can still play until EOS, with free special items given daily until November 30 and every Monday from December 1 until shutdown.
- The devs are also offering refunds for any unused paid Rune Stones.
Glohow Holdings Pte. Ltd. has announced the shutdown of its mythology sci-fi action RPG, Black Beacon, scheduled for December 31. First launched in April 2025, following its global pre-registration in December 2024, this title is ending prematurely due to operational difficulties.
Despite efforts, devs confirm end of service following the 1.3 version update
While the game previously faced global backlash, I didn’t expect it to take this decision. For those new, Black Beacon is a sci-fi action RPG where you play as Outlander and dive into a rich storyline with immersive world-building. You go on an adventure with adorable characters and engage in cool battles.
Unfortunately, the Black Beacon Team announced via X (formerly known as Twitter) that the game would shut down on December 31, stating, “due to operational difficulties related to the global service, it will no longer be possible to continue the service after the 1.3 version update.“
Players are eligible for compensation and refunds depending on their spending
Following the announcement, the team has disabled all in-app and web-store purchases, and it is no longer available for download. However, you’ll receive support items, including 1000 Rune Shards and 2 Large Spherical fruits, daily until November 30. From December 1, these items will be sent every Monday, and you can also opt to refund any unused paid Rune Stones.
And, this shutdown saddens me as I was one of the few who believed it had high potential, but here we are. And just like me, many fans are sad too, with some stating, “Wow, this actually broke my heart…i love this game so dearly, the story and characters are so good,” while some criticizing the devs for the reward distribution blunder, among other issues.
