Blade & Soul Heroes to end global service on June 16, 2026, six months after release, following KR closure

An unfortunate ending!

Story Highlights
  • The final March 17 update brings remaining content including Hero Ryun, with abundant in-game items available until EOS.
  • The team also promised refunds for purchases made in the last three months.

NCSOFT has now announced the global shutdown of its collectible action MMORPG, Blade & Soul Heroes, scheduled for June 16, 2026. The game first launched worldwide on September 2025 after debuting in South Korea in 2024. And just like the KR version that closed last month, the global release is on the same path.

Blade & Soul Heroes faces early shutdown after brief global run

So, Blade & Soul Heroes is the latest addition that takes place 3 years before the events of the original series. And this collectible action MMORPG is set in a vibrant anime-style world, where you can collect over 40 heroes and help Yusol to rebuild her clan and also beat the main villain, Yi Chun in strategic turn-based battles.

Unfortunately, now even the global version is ending its services following the footsteps of the KR one. The Blade & Soul Heroes Development Team shared on the official site that “Blade & Soul Heroes service is scheduled to end on June 16, 2026,” just after six months of global service.

You can enjoy abundant in-game items and even collect the new hero until EOS

Following the announcement, the game has disabled the sale of cash products in the Shop, though you can continue playing it until the EOS date. Plus, we’ll get the final update on March 17, bringing all remaining content like the new Hero Ryun. Besides this, the team is also offering various in-game items through the Shop, Exchange Shops, and Events.

While the whole situation is sad, the players that spent money in-game in the last 3 months are at least getting refunds. And if you’re one of them, wait until March 17 for the Compensation Notice for end of service, and follow provided information there to submit your request for refund.

That said, fans aren’t feeling that bad about this unfortunate situation, with one even stating, “Honestly deserved,” and another joking, “I played this dogshit game for 3 days.” But I hope NCSOFT step up as BnS is such a iconic IP, and it doesn’t deserve this.
