The RPG genre gets a new exciting addition as Hoyeon, NCSOFT’s fantasy title opens pre-registration in select regions for Android and iOS platforms. As mentioned by the makers, this game is set in the exciting Blade & Soul universe, which is NCSOFT and Netmarble‘s hit franchise.
With an intriguing storyline, Hoyeon brings amazing turn-based battles to the table
From the description given by the developers, Hoyeon is set three years before the events of Blade & Soul. The game’s storyline follows Yuki, the last successor of the Goenmon sect, as he rebuilds his clan and grows through his adventures.
The game features a diverse cast of heroes, each with unique fighting styles and compelling backstories. Just like any other game in this genre, you can engage in deep turn-based battles by selecting heroes that best fit the environment and situation, creating unique combinations to tackle various challenges. You must team up with friends to take on giant bosses as you progress.
Having watched the gameplay snippets of this title, I must say this is a very promising one. The graphics are well knit and the visual effects during attacks and special moves are something that can capture one’s attention pretty easily. The game looks very fluid and fast-paced, and from what I have noticed, we can have five heroes at a time to use in a battle.
Players can now pre-register for Hoyeon ahead of release
With pre-registration open in Japan, Taiwan, Macau, Hong Kong, and South Korea, you can visit the Google Play Store or App Store, depending on whether you are using an Android or iOS device, to register for Hoyeon.
The app listing indicates an expected release date of August 28, 2024, although I speculate this to be for select regions, but since this game is from NCSOFT, it is expected to have a global release. So keep an eye on their official site for further updates.
