Overwatch, the popular AAA first-person hero shooter might be making its way to mobile now as evidenced by some new job postings for the game. The possibility of Overwatch Mobile had been a rumor floating around for quite a while but now it seems like it might be an actual possibility.
Although there had been hints here and there that were pretty convincing, an official job post for a Product Manager on a Mobile Project on Blizzard’s website seems to really confirm that Blizzard wants to go ahead with a mobile version of Overwatch.
Blizzard wants to create a mobile experience based on Overwatch
The description for the job post says, “Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Product Manager to help us create the best mobile game experiences in the world. This person will be working on multiple titles: Diablo, Overwatch, Hearthstone, and many more fantastic games. The Product Manager should have an understanding of mobile game development, with experience in either pre-launch or live operations. They should be well versed in the mobile gaming space, including a player-first mentality first and foremost because they are players themselves.”

Overwatch has explicitly been mentioned so it wouldn’t be incorrect to assume that Blizzard is planning to start work or is already working on something for the mobile market. Now while this does seem like pretty concrete proof, not much more can be said since Blizzard themselves have not made an official announcement.
That being said, Overwatch could be just one of the many AAA titles that are heading to mobile and the job postings certainly indicate very exciting news. Hopefully, we’ll get more information regarding the game from Blizzard themselves soon.
