Supercell has officially announced the first batch of balance changes that will be coming to Clash of Clans as part of the Autumn 2021 update. The changes will include but are not limited to bug fixes, new levels for troops and defenses, and general balancing of the game mechanics. Now let’s take a look at the changes which have been confirmed by the developers to be coming to the game.
Clash of Clans Autumn 2021 update details
New Super Troop – Super Brawler
The Super Bowler will be the latest addition to the growing list of super troops in Clash of Clans and will come with its own signature one up over its regular counterpart, the Bowler. The better stats also come with more expenses, such as higher training costs and greater housing space.
An upgradeable troop, the Super Bowler comes with a buff to the regular Bowler’s rock-throwing capabilities. That is, the rock thrown by a Super Bowler bounces one more time and strikes the enemy for a total of 3 damaging hits.

The Super Bowler is expected to find a somewhat dedicated troop to clear funnel bases and take down clan castle troops, defenses while being in a relatively safer position itself. The troop can also find uses in clearing buildings in the outskirts of the base without engaging the defenses. The stats are as follows
Level | TH Level | Training Cost | DPS | HP | Housing Space |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
4 | 12 | 700 DE | 170 | 1600 | 30 |
5 | 13 | 875 DE | 185 | 1800 | 30 |
6 | 14 | 1000 DE | 200 | 2000 | 30 |
Quality of Life improvements
The update also comes with certain Quality of Life improvements as listed below:-
- Gain XP by donating troops during Wars and War Leagues: Note that this only applies for Wars and War Leagues and not Friendly Wars. Also the amount of XP is decided by the number of troops donated at the start of the Battle Day. Keep in mind that players won’t be able to remove donations or repeatedly request troops.

- Hero Skin Randomizer: In this feature you can select a list of skins for you Hero and each tike you open your Home Village a different skin will be displayed from among the selected list.
The Randomizer option will be available in the Hero Skin UI which is activated from the Hero pedestal. Once you’ve selected the Hero Skins you want in rotation, each time you load your Home Village the Hero Skin Randomizer will apply a different random skin from your selection to your available Heroes. - New improvements for “Support a Creator”: This option is now made even more accessible and the player can open it by simply clicking the Supercell Club Creator logo ‘C’ and then can enter their preferred creator code.
- API changes: Clan war opt-in/opt-out status is now present as the warPreference (in/out) property in the /players/{playerTag} response in the Clash of Clans API. The property is only present if a player is in a Clan.
The maximum number of attacks available per war participant is now present as the attacksPerMember property in the /clans/{clanTag}/currentwar and /clans/{clanTag}/warlog responses in the Clash of Clans API. As this is something new that we started tracking for Clans’ war histories, friendly wars that took place before the introduction of this feature will lack this property.
Bug fixes
- The bug which causes your village layout to not be saved in the edit mode will be fixed. This was caused by using the Remove All option which triggered the bug. Also, locked buildings will no longer be removed by using Remove All.
- Fixed a bug which caused builders to get stuck in Walls while defending the village against raids during Friendly Challenges, Legend League attacks or Clan Wars.
- Wars will no longer take place without the desired number of participants and thus putting one side at an advantage. (Example: 14 vs 15 or 15 vs 16)
Clash of Clans Autumn 2021 update: Balance changes

According to the officials, the following balance changes will be implemented to complement the current meta and without disrupting the regular player preferences. The changes have been brought in place after reviewing the feedback from the community and are expected to be a welcome change in the game.
- Inferno Dragon: As we all know the Inferno Dragon causes more damage over time. The ramp speed of this ability has been slowed down by 0.2 seconds, which means that now it will take a bit longer to reach its maximum damage after the change.
- Mighty Yak: The Mighty Yak will no longer cause splash damage while attacking.
