Supercell Games have announced the Clash Royale League World Finals 2021, which is set to be held from the 3rd of December, 2021 to the 5th of December, 2021. A blog post from Supercell has confirmed the dates and the prize pool with some additional information. Though the mode of the tournament is not confirmed yet. A whopping $1,020,000 is set as the prize pool for the participants. For the title of CRL World Champion and getting a major piece of the massive prize pool, we will watch the best players in action.
Clash Royale League World Finals 2021 will return with a single-player format
The last time when we watched any major CRL tournament in a single-player format was the Crown Championship World Finals in 2017. Since then, the tournament has followed a team-based format. The previous year’s event was held at the Baoshan Sports Centre in Shanghai, China with Team Queso becoming the champions. However, the single-player format is set to return from this year, as introduced by Supercell.
The qualification process runs throughout 2021
The top 1000 players in each Trophy Race were invited to compete in the Clash Royale League Monthly Qualifier that has been happening since the month of February 2021. All the eight monthly finals have concluded including this September’s monthly final. The top 24 players who have gathered the highest points in the season-long Competitive Leaderboard have already made their way to the Clash Royale League World Finals 2021.
To complete the 32 players quota, the players in positions 25-56 will participate in the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ). The Last Chance Qualifier will be broadcasted on the Clash Royale Esports YouTube channel and on Twitch on the dates of 30th and 31st of October, 2021 at 2:00 PM UTC. It will select the remaining eight players that will advance to the Clash Royale League World Finals 2021 to accompany the other 24 participating players.
