Clash Royale had a record-breaking year both in terms of content and revenue
The award recognizes games that continue to deliver excellence and retain strong engagement over time, and Clash Royale perfectly fits that description. Throughout the year, they have introduced new mechanics and modes, which also include the Merge Tactics mode.
It is also to be noted that the title is the most profitable Supercell game for a long while. If we consider the recent records, Clash Royale has ranked among the top 10 highest earning mobile games, ranking 10th in July and August, while September saw it jump to 9th, while also finishing 7th in the downloads chart.

In the On-Going Game of the Year category, Clash Royale triumphed over tough competition from Pokémon TCG Pocket, Genshin Impact, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Honkai Star Rail, Whiteout Survival, FC Mobile, and War Robots.
Clash Royale was also in contention for Mobile Game Update of the Year with its Merge Tactics Update in June this year, which introduced a refreshing new gameplay layer. However, Cookie Run Kingdom 6.0 Update ultimately took home that award.
