- Season 3 boosts free Pinnacle Energy, finally easing Destiny: Rising’s daily grind limits.
- Free-to-play players get more Lumia Leaves, meaning more pulls without opening wallets.
- The update feels like long-overdue relief.
Mobile looter-shooter fans, this one’s for you. Destiny: Rising is heading into Season 3, and for the first time since launch, it feels like the developers at NetEase Games are openly admitting something players have been yelling about since day one: free resources haven’t been cutting it.
With a new Free Pinnacle Energy Drop event and a noticeable boost to Lumia Leaves, Season 3 is shaping up to be a big moment for the game’s progression system. But while this update sounds generous on paper, the real question is whether it’s a genuine step forward, or just a temporary peace offering to calm a restless player base.
The Pinnacle Energy Problem, And Why Season 3 Matters
After spending hours of my time in Destiny: Rising, it’s no joke when I say Pinnacle Energy is very important. Cause it singlehandedly determined my daily grind. And once I hit the daily cap, I knew it was wrap for me. Even though I had more grind in me, which was very frustrating.

Originally, the system was designed to encourage healthy play sessions, which sounds reasonable on paper. Well, not until I try to farm materials for a new character, or simply enjoy a long grind session without feeling punished for it.
Season 3’s answer? A season-long Free Pinnacle Energy Drop event. So instead of small daily refills that vanish instantly, players will now earn a substantial amount of free Pinnacle Energy every day for the entire season. Which is a breath of fresh air for me. Because now I can enjoy longer sessions and more rewarding runs.
Free-to-Play Finally Gets Breathing Room
Pinnacle Energy isn’t the only sore spot in Destiny Rising. Lumia Leaves, the game’s premium summoning currency, have long felt tight for free-to-play players like me. And while the developers intended for early rewards and monthly income to keep things competitive. Actual gameplay and my experience told a different story.

Simply put, even after tons of hours, I wasn’t earning as much as expected. To patch that gap, Season 3 boosts free Lumia Leaf income through events like Dawning, offering rewards equivalent to over 2,000 Lumia Leaves, alongside bonus Pinnacle Energy and upgrade materials.
For gacha players, that’s a big deal. Because more Lumia Leaves mean more pulls, more characters, and less pressure to open my already scanty wallet just to keep up. Still, while this is helpful, I can’t help but shake the feeling this a temporary fix.
Why This Update Actually Matters
This isn’t just about free stuff; it’s about developers finally prioritizing gamers. Sure, these systems are standard in mobile games, but Destiny: Rising sits in a tricky space. It plays like a shooter-looter that wants players to grind, experiment, and push content. Yet its systems felt like a shackle holding me back from doing exactly that.
And Season 3 acknowledges a simple truth: Players want to play because it’s fun, not because a timer allows them to. And by loosening the leash, even temporarily, Destiny: Rising takes a step toward aligning its systems with its gameplay. For now though, as someone who’s been in the trenches of Destiny: Rising’s grind, this update feels earned.
