- Disney Heroes: Battle Mode is a popular action RPG featuring over 200 Disney and Pixar characters.
- The game is set to leave app stores on April 30, 2026, alongside the end of in-app purchases.
- There will be no refunds or offline version, though you can still enjoy the latest update 7.11 content until EOS.
PerBlue Entertainment has announced the shutdown of the beloved tactical RPG, Disney Heroes: Battle Mode, set for May 31, 2026. Launched back on May 17, 2018, the game built a solid fanbase with its blend of Disney and Pixar characters over its 8-year run.
Disney Heroes: Battle Mode shutdown confirmed, but no exact reason revealed by devs
So, Disney Heroes: Battle Mode is an action-packed RPG starring over 200 Disney and Pixar heroes from fan-favorites like The Incredibles, Wreck-It Ralph, and Zootopia. Here, you can collect your beloved characters to build the best team and equip gear to battle against corrupted versions like Kuzco, Tiana, and more.
Unfortunately, the Disney Heroes: Battle Mode Development Team announced via X(Twitter) that the game would shut down on May 31, 2026, stating, “It’s been a privilege to bring this game to life through our own creative lens.” They revealed this along with the release of update 7.11.
You can still download and enjoy the latest update until EOS
The game will be removed from the app stores, and in-app purchases will be disabled on April 30, 2026. So, you can still download and play it until the EOS date, and enjoy new additions like Mowgli, Benjamin Gates, and more with the latest update.
As expected, many fans are sad, with few asking the devs not to, “shut it down! “, and many requesting “a permanent offline version” like Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete. And I also understand the frustration of a few fans, as it’s quite pointless to announce EOS after “releasing a new pass and two other characters just to shut it down one month later.“
