- Finale Campaign brings daily free 10x recruits, past event stories, and new characters like fantasy Eijiro Kirishima.
- There will be no offline version, even though many fans have been requesting one.
Bandai Namco announced to shutdown its beloved action RPG, My Hero ULTRA IMPACT, scheduled for May 18, 2026. This title first launched on Japan in May 19, 2021, followed by global release in 2022, and is now ending services around its fifth anniversary.
An abrupt goodbye for a beloved game with a solid fanbase
My Hero ULTRA IMPACT is an action RPG based on hit anime series My Hero Academia. You can build a team of three with your beloved characters and win 3v3 quirk battles by using their quirks and Plus Ultra Moves. Besides battles, you can even customize your hero base, invite the characters, and more.
Unfortunately, the My Hero ULTRA IMPACT Team announced via X (Twitter) that the game would shutdown on May 18, 2026, stating “Thank you for always playing My Hero Academia ULTRA IMPACT.” That said, the team didn’t exactly reveal the reason behind this decision.
Enjoy your last moments with a generous Finale Campaign
Following the announcement, the game launched the Finale Campaign, offering fans with daily free 10x Recruits, along with access to past event stories and even new characters like fantasy Eijiro Kirishima. Plus, you can use all items and unused Hero Gems until the EOS, though in-game purchases are now disabled.
Both global and Japanese fans are equally sad by this sudden news, and many are now even demanding “an offline option so we can keep our accounts.” Many fans are even confused by the decisions as the “game is literally still doing well,” though most are worried about refunds. As a fan of the anime, I can understand how everyone’s feeling about this situation.
