SQUARE ENIX is getting ready to bring another Final Fantasy experience to mobile, as DISSIDIA DUELLUM FINAL FANTASY is now confirmed to launch on March 23, 2026, with pre-registration officially open. The game was first revealed back in February 2025, with a closed beta test rolling out in November 2025.

DISSIDIA DUELLUM FINAL FANTASY goes for a 3v3 battle system with RPG elements, where two teams compete against each other while taking down enemies and racing to defeat a boss first. The controls are easy to learn, and with this, you also dive into a story.
The story takes place in modern-day Tokyo, which is a different direction for the series. Along with battles, there’s also a focus on character interactions through story scenes and chat-style episodes. As expected, the game brings together legendary Final Fantasy characters like Cloud, Lightning, and Warrior of Light.
They all fit into roles such as Melee, Ranged, Agile, or Support. You can customize abilities, build loadouts, and tweak your playstyle depending on how you want to approach battles.
