eFootball 2026 v5.2.2 update: Treasure Link, New Link-Up Manager, new players, and more

eFootball 2026 has announced that the v5.2.2 patch update has arrived on January 8th, 2026. I know that while this patch may not be the most exciting update on its own, especially with the highly anticipated Treasure Link also making its comeback.

Treasure Link

Yes, the biggest news of the year is the comeback of Treasure Link. While the disappointment is with the lack of chance deals with the new version, we have some solid picks to consider, including the likes of Dimitar Berbatov, Lothar Matthaus, and Donadoni, to name a few.

Selection Contract

While many wait for what Treasure Link has in store for us, the Festive Season campaign is running its last week. Now, what’s special about this is that we have recieved the Selection Contract we’ve been waiting for. I’ve reviewed the players out of the seven picks, and you can also check the guide and the tier list to make your choice.

New Manager and Player Pack refresh

We are also getting a new Link-Up Playstyle in Breakthrough Pass A. This is a very lethal connection, as this links up your AMF directly with the CF. Equipped with this Link-Up is the new Manager Xabi Alonso, who gets 89 proficiency in Quick Counter and Out Wide alongside Ball Control and Finishing as boosters.

As part of the Epic pack, we have Kaka and Andriy Shevchenko arriving in the game. While Kaka gets Momentum Dribbling and Phenomenal Pass as his Show Time skills, Shevchenko is more lethal with Acceleration Burst paired with his Phenomenal Finishing skill. For the Show Time picks, we get Kylian Mbappe and Arda Guler.

As for the Nominating Contract, we have the Mid-Season MVPs, featuring some standout picks like Declan Rice, Moises Caicedo, and Alvaro Carreras. Cristiano Ronaldo is also featured in the Worldwide Jan ’26 pack.
