eFootball 2026 is gearing up for its next major patch, with the v5.3.0 update scheduled to arrive on February 5th, 2026. While KONAMI hasn’t officially revealed the full patch notes yet, there’s plenty we can reasonably expect based on recent update patterns, trends, and what arrived in the previous v5.2.2 update.
eFootball 2026 v5.3.0 update: All the details explained
The last update marked the return of Treasure Link, along with refreshed player packs, a new Link-Up Playstyle, and high-profile Epic and Show Time cards. Naturally, v5.3.0 is expected to build on that momentum, but a few things aren’t expected to arrive, especially the Treasure Link and Selection Contract.
Looking at KONAMI’s usual update cycle, Thursday draw box refreshes remain highly likely. This means we could see new Epic and Show Time packs introduced shortly after the update goes live. A strong chance that a new manager with a unique Link-Up play could be introduced in v5.3.0.
February traditionally aligns with Carnival season in Brazil, and eFootball has previously leaned into this with some major campaigns, including last year. Because of this, Brazilian-themed player packs, events, or special cards could be on the way.
Other than that, we will have the usuals: POTW is coming alongside the Nominating Contract with a new set of players on offer.
