Fake copy of FunPlus’ Aniimo appears as “Star Continent” on Android in Thailand, while the official iOS test goes live in the US

Enjoy Pokémon-style creature-catching adventure!

Story Highlights
  • The original devs clarified that the game has no connection to Aniimo, urging players to follow the official channels for accurate updates and future beta details.
  • You can log in to get high-level items, and after seven days, claim a free SSR creature and partner.
  • The limited-time server event is now live with exclusive costumes, rare companions, and special rewards.

Kingsglory and FunPlus have no connection to Star Continent, as this title by Mobile Intelligence Saigon has copied the images and assets from their upcoming creature-catching ARPGAniimo. Now, this copied title has soft-launched on Android in Thailand, coincidentally around the same time as the origin began a technical test for iOS in the US, now live until November 9.

Dive in as a Magical Beast collector and experience creature-catching fun with RPG gameplay

So, you drop in as a Magical Beast Collector, collecting and bonding with over a hundred mythical beasts. You can help them grow, evolve, research their powers, and build powerful strategies around them to dominate in battles while uncovering the mysteries hidden beneath the azure land.

It seems that Kingsglory’s Aniimo has gained a lot of hype, as its images and assets are already being copied and misused. What initially appeared to be a soft launch under a different name has now been confirmed as a clear case of copyright infringement by Mobile Intelligence Saigon.

GamingonPhone team reached out to a FunPlus spokesperson for clarification, and we received the following response: “This game is in no way affiliated with or linked to Aniimo. We encourage players to follow the official Aniimo community channels for reliable updates and information about future beta tests.”

Players can experience the twining mechanic firsthand and enjoy exciting free rewards

Like the upcoming global version planned for 2026, this launch also includes the Twining mechanic, which I found really fascinating since its reveal. It allows you to merge with your beasts, like Emberpup and Nimbi, and view the world through their perspective instead of merely fighting alongside them.

That said, from what I’ve seen so far, Star Continent looks very promising with its adorable creature designs, stunning visuals, lively world, overall gameplay, and more. Moreover, you can also enjoy high-value login rewards. Plus, if you log in for seven straight days, you can even choose a free SSR creature and a high-level partner.

Star Continent is now available on Android in Thailand, and you can now download the game via the Google Play Store! Stay tuned for more updates as the game prepares to globally launch in 2026 on multiple platforms!
