- Fallen Sword II is a cross-platform turn-based MMORPG inspired by the iconic 2006 browser classic.
- It brings beloved features of the original like dungeons, skills, crafting, and alchemy with enhanced visuals.
- The game offers fast-paced turn-based combat, Gauntlets, bosses, dungeon traps, six heroic classes, Guilds, and more.
Hunted Cow Games has announced a new cross-platform adventure MMORPG, Fallen Sword II, set to launch in Q3 2026 on Android, iOS, and PC. This one serves as a spiritual successor to the cult classic Fallen Sword, one of the longest-running retro browser MMORPGs, and is currently in development.
Get ready to dive back to Erildath and face the ancient evil to save the world
I don’t know if Fallen Sword II can fully live up to the legacy of the original, which saw a massive rise and continues to thrive to this date. I mean, you just had to be there to understand how obsessed people were with browser games back then. And, I was the same, so I can’t wait to return and explore the storied lands of Erildath.
Lore-wise, you’re Chosen by the Gods as a hero to fight back the darkness, with the goal to seal the ancient evil Imaar back to their prison in the Withered Land. Although the fragments of the Fallen Sword are now lost to the Sea of Souls, you’ll still have to break the cycle and save the world from darkness.
You can summon powerful entities, join guilds, and conquer both Gauntlets and large-scale battles
On the gameplay side, the fast-paced turn-based combat doesn’t look bad. Like, imagine you can now hurl fireballs, unleash blizzards, and even wield elemental weapons to exploit enemy weakness in 3D, unlike the text-based gameplay. Plus, summoning loyal entities to face the Gauntlets full of bosses and loot sounds fun.
My expectation is high for this one, considering it’s a sequel to such a highly-rated browser classic from 2006. And honestly, the content also looks great, with 6 heroic class pathways, weapons, armor, Gemforge, Guild, large-scale battles, and more, in addition to the visual upgrades from the original.
Fallen Sword II is arriving in Q3 2026 on Android, iOS, and PC. And, you can now pre-register for the game via your respective Google Play Store or App Store. So, stay tuned for more updates regarding the exact launch date.
