Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series to bring 6 classic games to mobile

Classic titles on modern devices

It has been revealed that 6 of the first Final Fantasy games, Final Fantasy I through VI are making their way after being remastered for Android, iOS, and PC. This was announced during Square Enix Presents at E3 2021. According to Square Enix, each of the games from the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series would be released separately on different dates.

It is also worth noting that Final Fantasy I, II, and III were in the 8-bit format while Final Fantasy IV, V, and VI are in 16-bit format. Other than this, Square Enix also showcased Hitman Sniper: The Shadows during the event.

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series: Perfect makeover

It looks like these games are being optimised for the platforms they are going to come to. According to Square Enix, “The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series sees the first six incredible adventures get a “pixel-perfect makeover.” This likely means that the games will stay true to their original gameplay and visual style but will have a few changes.

Square Enix has ported a couple of games earlier but some of them were considered a little disappointing. Seems like Square Enix is now looking to make things right and bring out some enjoyable classic titles. It also seems like a lot of people aren’t happy with this announcement since they play on consoles and don’t want to use their mobile devices or PCs, the platforms which will be getting the remasters of the game.

Square Enix hasn’t released any other information regarding the game yet but they’ll be coming out soon individually on the App Store and the Play Store. Any release date isn’t available either.
