Square Enix Montréal, the award-winning studio behind Hitman Sniper, and the GO series launched today the announcement trailer and official title of its new Hitman Sniper mobile game. The new title has been named Hitman Sniper: The Shadows and was announced at the E3 2021 Square Enix Presents showcase. This game was formerly known as Project Hitman Sniper Assassins and has now been rebranded into a completely new mobile shooter game with a new story, new characters, and a new level of gameplay.
While Hitman Sniper: The Shadows builds on the fundamentals of Hitman Sniper, it is not a sequel to that experience and doesn’t share the same fictional universe. Instead, Hitman Sniper: The Shadows takes the franchise to a whole new level and experience, in terms of story, characters, and gameplay.

Experience stunning gameplay with highly skilled assassins
Hitman Sniper: The Shadows brings in a completely original story that is set in the Hitman Universe. The game centers around events following the disappearance of Agent 47. Furthermore, it follows the story of The Shadows, a group of highly skilled assassins – Soji, Kiya, Kolzak, Knight, and Stone within the hidden world of assassination.
In this world, a new criminal network threatens global stability. Diana Burnwood and the International Contract Agency (ICA) are here to activate Initiative 426. This is also known as The Shadows which has been called to put an end to this threat.
To excel in this new game, players must be meticulous, creative, and untraceable. They must wallop in secretly and try to manipulate their enemies. Not only that, but they also need to use the environment to their advantage to knock down high-level international targets. This will help them build their reputation and evolve into their own version of The Shadows.

Hitman Sniper: The Shadows is a free-to-play game set to be released in 2021 on Android and iOS devices. As of now, no exact date of release has been announced by Square Enix. Keep checking back here for more exciting updates that will be revealed later this year.
