Flexion Acquires Influencer Marketing Agency Audiencly for $10.4 million

Both companies will create new revenue and user acquisition opportunities for developers in the mobile game space and beyond.

Audiencly, a major influencer marketing agency for the gaming industry based in Dusseldorf, Germany, has been acquired by Flexion Mobile, an Android games distribution company. Flexion will buy Audiencly outright for $10.4 million in cash and stock. As part of the Flexion group, Audiencly’s founders Adrian Kotowski, CEO, and Michael Schmidt, CMO, will continue to run the agency and oversee its continued expansion.

Audiencly was launched in 2018 and has already grown to a network of over 5,000 influencers. More than 1,000 campaigns have been successfully run for more than 100 clients, including Tencent, Social Point, and NetEase. Flexion, which was launched in 2007, provides a simple approach for game producers to increase revenue and gamers with minimum upfront investment or effort.

Traditional user acquisition has become complicated and inefficient for mobile game producers. Because it establishes trust with players and so produces a better ROI, influencer marketing is a significantly more authentic way to gain loyal customers.

Audiencly’s significant social media and influencer knowledge will be combined with Flexion’s unique talents, experience, and technology to enable developers to reach other app stores such as Amazon, Huawei, and Samsung. Together, the two firms will provide developers in the mobile game sector and beyond with new revenue and user acquisition opportunities. Audiencly’s team of 28 people will join the Flexion group.
