Fortnite is one of the most iconic Battle Royale of our times and part of it has to do with the inclusion of different game modes which the developers keep on adding to the game regularly. This time around according to rumors, there will be a new Racing mode that will be included in Fortnite. The new racing mode could either be standard or even competitive.

Top data miners of the community have made their speculation about the game mode given what they think would be added to the game. Very little is known about this potential car racing game, and how many resources Epic Games is putting into it. According to some the inclusion of new modes is to cover up for the battle royale and draw more fans to the game.
According to community data miner, ShiinaBR the new game mode could either be standard or competitive in nature. They say that the competitive mode could work similarly to Epic’s current system, with 18 divisions of other players in increasing difficulties. The game mode is expected to be launched sometime in the coming months.
Another data miner of the community iFireMonkey claims that a new racing car game mode codenamed “DelMar” is in development right now and should release within a few months. The suggested car racing game mode will allow players to select different sets of cars from a garage feature which will be added to the game from where players would be able to select their ride in the game.
The game files indicate that the Delmar game mode will have several game options, such as a Death Race, several circuits, and some competitive ranked racing modes.
Fortnite fans remain divided over the inclusion of the new racing mode
Some fans are conflicted with the idea of developers adding a new game mode to the game. Some fans believe that with the inclusion of a new racing mode, the resources and attention of developers would be split between the racing and battle royale mode which might affect the battle royale experience negatively.
