FC Mobile has finally announced its plans for the current season in its recent monthly event preview livestream across Twitch and YouTube. And the big news is, EA has officially confirmed that there won’t be any Season Reset happening in FC Mobile 24, at least anytime soon in 2024!
EA has also assured that players can hence continue building their squads with their favorite players without having the fear of an impending reset. Additionally, FC Mobile has also revealed its next line-up for events for the upcoming months with the first two events arriving on the next Thursday reset:

FC Mobile’s upcoming Event Roadmap includes some fan-favorite events
In the recently concluded livestream, EA announced a plethora of events in the upcoming months starting this Thursday reset:
From the above, the first two events, ie the Sunshine Ballers and Icon Chronicles are arriving at tomorrow’s reset. According to the stream, Sunshine Ballers will be a mini-event similar to the recently concluded Shapshifters, where you will be playing Challenge Mode matches (both PvE and PvP) to earn event currency which you can utilize later towards Player Rewards and Universal Rank Players!
The other one, Icon Chronicles will be the next base event or the major event. Icon Chronicles similar to Zidane Icon Journey and Heroes will be a long-term event or campaign where you can earn Icons such as Steven Gerrard, Xabi Alonso, and Fernando Torres by replaying their careers.
You will be playing through a series of Skill Games and PvE Matches to unlock various stages of the player’s career, starting from their academy days to the final matches of their careers. The Steven Gerrard chapter will be available initially with the Xabi Alonso and Fernando Torres chapters unlocking later. Besides claiming your favorite players, this artwork done in this event is cool!
Following these events, EA will bring a series of new events, namely Hall of Legends and Dynasties with both of them hinting arrival of new Icon cards. Retro Stars, on the other hand, has always been a community favorite event, generally occurring around this time of the year, bringing back, revamped, and updated player cards from the past events with a bump in the player stats. And after Retro Stars, comes the Anniversary event on the eve of FC Mobile’s 1st anniversary, as the game completes one year since its rebranded launch last September.
Introducing Universal Tokens
Additionally, FC Mobile is bringing a brand new in-game currency, ie Universal Tokens. Universal Tokens will be replacing Competitive Points that you earn by playing Division Rivals ie VSA and H2H matches. Universal Tokens will bring an extra layer of versatility as they can also be earned by playing the Skill Games and Matches from the new Icon Chronicles event!
According to EA, the intention behind bringing Universal Tokens is to add some flexibility as to how you engage with events and earn rewards from the events. Therefore if you are a player who mainly focuses on Division Rivals, you can still enjoy the game without grinding the events and not fall behind as you still will be receiving the same currency!
Universal Tokens as the name signifies will now allow you to exchange them for Event Currency in any new event and also can be used to open regular Division Rivals packs from the Store. Universal Tokens will make its debut this Thursday 18th at reset along with Sunshine Ballers and Icon Chronicles!
Player OVRS going over 100 and above
Besides the season reset not happening in FC Mobile 24, there is another significant piece of news as well. Player OVRs will go above 100, yes very soon, starting with the UEFA EURO 2024 Team of the Tournament arriving at this Friday reset, not Thursday.
Therefore with upcoming events, we can expect player OVRs to go beyond 100 OVR, and very soon the current 97-98 OVR players will become redundant as players with a higher overall will have better stats and a higher training level ceiling. This also could be a bane as higher-rated players will only enlarge the gulf more between pay-to-play and free-to-play players.
And that’s it, that’s about the announcement, with the main thing being there will be no Season Reset happening in 2024. Therefore keep building your team, and keep growing your team OVR with new players and old. There’s a still lot to play for this season and therefore without the reset happening anytime soon, you will retain all of your coins, gems, players, and progress throughout this year!
