Garena‘s mobile battle royale game Free Fire is among the most popular games, with billions of downloads on the Google Play Store. After the great success of the OB37 version, launched in November 2022, Garena is preparing to launch the first Free Fire update in 2023, with the OB38 version. New additions include changes to BR (Battle Royale) and CS (Contra Squad) modes along with various weapon balances for better gameplay. Among the main changes in Battle Royale mode is the arrival of Barracks in Free Fire.
How do Barracks work in Free Fire
The Free Fire Barracks is a new location spread across the map that contains the best items in the game. Try the Barracks if you find the blue zone treasure area to be less difficult or useful. You and your team can find high-quality weapons and equipment in the Shed.
There is a chance to find tier-3 weapons and Barracks-only weaponry there. Do not forget to bring your squad! The location of each map’s five to six arsenals may be viewed on the minimap. Despite being the best loot spot in the game, the Shed requires a key to access. It is important to note that each main region of each map has 1-2 keys:
- Keys can be purchased from vending machines.
- Each key costs 600 FF Coins.
- There are only 3 keys in every vending machine per game, so hurry up!
- Keys can be purchased from Airdrop vending machines.
- Each key costs 400 FF Coins.
- Each Airdrop vending machine carries 1 key.
To sum up, the Barracks will arrive at Free Fire in the next game update, scheduled to take place on January 11, 2023.
