One of the biggest independent mobile game developers in the world, FunPlus, has announced the hiring of mobile gaming expert Jacob Krüger as its director of user acquisition. Jacob will oversee FunPlus’ user acquisition strategy thanks to his considerable industry knowledge, connecting players with the expanding FunPlus library of games through a variety of channels.

Jacob Krüger served as Head of Marketing and consultant at Social Point, GameDuell, and other mobile game firms before joining FunPlus. He was also Head of User Acquisition for mobile gaming companies like Miniclip or Scopely.
FunPlus Barcelona was founded in late 2019 and has gradually expanded in size and scope over the past three years, with a focus on providing leadership and support for the company’s portfolio of games in the areas of Community Management, Marketing/Growth, and Creative Services. FunPlus Barcelona has a brand-new office in the heart of the city.
Since then, the business in the Barcelona area has continued to draw artists, techies, and gamers, more than doubling the number of its initial staff in the past year. Enric Cabestany, VP Publishing, Europe, and LATAM, a seasoned leader in technology and digital media with more than 15 years of management and publishing experience, is in charge of leading the group.
