After a successful prelude debut in 2021, gamescom asia 2022 returns from October 20 to 23, 2022, with a larger sized physical Trade Zone, Conference, and a physical Entertainment Zone for the first time. Online segments will continue to be made available to a global audience.
gamescom asia is the world’s largest computer and video games festival’s only satellite event. gamescom will serve as a stepping stone into the Asia-Pacific market, reaching out to a culturally diversified Southeast Asian audience. Over 100 exhibitors from the Asia Pacific and beyond are expected to attend the event, which is expected to attract 15,000 total visitors.
Experience the first-ever physical entertainment zone at gamescom asia 2022
This October, gamers, enthusiasts, and the general public will be able to see the consumer display and demo games in person at gamescom asia’s Entertainment Zone. Depending on the current local COVID-19 event guidelines, the scope of activities such as live shows, meet & greets with creators, and cosplay contests are in the works.
It is the year for gaming events as gamescom and gamescom asia restart their physical formats, once again welcoming visitors to the show floor. We are very excited to bring back a festival atmosphere, of course within safe and calculated measures as we are not yet out of the pandemic, but overall, the enthusiasm has been evident amongst the community and industry.

To keep the global audience entertained, mainstay highlight shows PRIMETIME and STUDIO will return in the form of free internet live shows broadcast on numerous platforms. PRIMETIME, in particular, will take place on October 19 as a pre-event online preview ahead of the major event days of October 20 to 23 in 2022.

gamescom asia 2022: Trade zones and conference
As travel restrictions to Singapore have been greatly lifted, gamescom asia’s Trade Zone will be able to accommodate a larger international attendance. Trade visitors and conference delegates can expect to see a variety of country pavilions ranging from AAA to indies, as well as representation from all levels of the gaming industry. They can also attend exhibitor talks and talent drives, set up face-to-face business meetings, and test out the Entertainment Zone before it opens to the general public.
This year’s conference agenda covers a wide range of topics, including cross-platform game development, marketing, production management, emerging technologies, and more. A face-to-face speed dating pitch activity will also take place between developers, publishers, and investors.
gamescom asia will continue to provide a virtual platform for all trade delegates to stay in touch and maintain a broader, cross-border network. Delegates will be able to schedule meetings in the weeks preceding up to gamescom asia and watch content on-demand after the event.
Visitors from all around the world are expected to attend the event
Following the relaxation of COVID-19 safe management procedures last month, Singapore’s borders were reopened quarantine-free to all fully vaccinated passengers on April 1st, eliminating the need for designated travel lanes with certain countries. gamescom asia expects an influx of people from around the world to congregate in Singapore from 20 – 23 October 2022, thanks to the relaxation of event and entertainment measures to allow for live performances and the organization of social activities alongside the event.
