gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2025 Day 2 Highlights
A Cinematic opening and a legendary honor
So, day 2 began with Glenn Schofield, the creator of Dead Space and Call of Duty, receiving a well-deserved Lifetime Achievement Award for his impact and fearless leadership. The crowd erupted as he took the stage, setting an energetic tone for the rest of the day.

It was great to see the show floor being packed with major exhibitors like CAPCOM, Bandai Namco, and GCL, making it feel like a true celebration of gaming excellence.
Behind the scenes of the Islands of Hearts
One of my favorite segments of the day was the live panel featuring the cast and creators of Islands of Hearts, a new IP by 4Divinity and Titan Media. Plus, fans got a closer look at how this new project came to life.
Pitch competition winners shine bright
Next, the much-anticipated Pitch Competition wrapped up with some impressive wins. MVRX Games from Sweden took home Best Visual for Dew, while Kotakoren Games from Malaysia won Best Game Design for Of Blood and Descend.

Besides them, Mudtek from the USA earned the title of Most Anticipated Game for Dimraeth, with each team receiving $1,500 to continue developing their projects, something I found very motivating to see.
A candid session on women shaping the AAA landscape

Moving to the conference stage, Meghan Morgan Juinio, formerly of Santa Monica Studio (USA), and Fleur Marty, from Gearbox (Canada), led a powerful session on how women are shaping the future of AAA game development.
Marvel Rivals unveils its new Marvel Zombies PvE mode
Marvel Games‘ Danny Koo surprised everyone by revealing Marvel Zombies, the first-ever PvE mode for Marvel Rivals, which is arriving globally on October 23. You can look forward to facing off against zombie hordes and bosses like Zombie Namor and the Queen of the Dead.

As a Marvel fan myself, this announcement easily stole the spotlight, especially Marvel Rivals, offering a closer look at integrating lesser-known heroes into the game.
From heartfelt keynotes to indie triumphs, Day 2 celebrated the courage to innovate and push creative limits. If Day 1 was about connection and energy, Day 2 was about fearless creators and ideas.
