Genshin Impact‘s new Patch 2.1 Update is expected to release sometime in September and that will also coincide with the game’s first year anniversary. Not only will it give the extension of Inazuma’s Islands and the continuation of its Archon Quest. There will be also some new characters, mechanics and events that everyone will look forward to. There are many events in this version that will allow you, the traveler, to earn more primogems and other rewards for the characters that you want to build. Additionally, with the Genshin Impact Version 2.1 update Livestream already out, here is the list of upcoming events that players need to look forward to.
Genshin Impact 2.1 Update: Complete list of upcoming events
Moonlight Merriment
It is an event that is under the Moonchase Festival, which is the second seasonal event in Liyue. It will take place right after the Lantern Rite Festival. It was revealed in the Version 2.1 Livestream where there will be a quest where we join Keqing and Xiangling during this event. There are 2 sub-events that will happen during the event period.
Moonlight Seeker
During this event, the Adventurer’s Guild will be spreading Moonchase charms and Mystmoon chests throughout Liyue, Monstadt, and Dragonspine. The travelers could speak to the event organizers to gain clues on where to find these items. The chests will drop ample amounts of rewards, as soon as they are opened. Players will also receive more rewards as they accumulate more Moonchase charms throughout the map. This is similar to the Echoing Conches during the Midsummer Adventure event.
Trail of Delicacies
Players are tasked with locating monster camps throughout the map and challenging various types of enemies. The monster camps have leaders that are affected with special buffs and effects. Also during this event, players can submit food dishes that help them defeat challenges by giving them buff effects.
Passage of Clouds and Stars
During this login event period, travelers can claim up to 10 intertwined fates along with other rewards like Mora, Adventurer EXP, and Mystic Enhancement Ores. Also, players can enjoy double the amount of Genesis crystals as this event resets the initial Top-Up bonus in the shop. So for players who are thinking of spending their money for Sangonomiya Kokomi or the Raiden Shogun in the next patch, this would be the best time to get it.
Hyakunin Ikki
During this event, players can choose trial characters or their own characters to form tag teams of two characters. Each tag team will also choose two event-exclusive abilities that will help them do the challenge. In this event, players will have to defeat as many enemies as they can in the given time period. When one of your team goes over the time limit, it will cause your combat abilities to drop. However, one can use the relay ability to change to other tag teams and continue the combat. Fervor is accumulated by defeating enemies or switching through tag teams, and having accumulated enough Fervor will unlock bonuses that boost your combat abilities.
Lunar Realm
Along with the new Fishing mechanic that’s going to be released on version 2.1, Lunar Realm is an event that is going to be all about fishing. Different fishing rods and fishing baits will be explored during the duration of this event. Players will be joining Kujirai Momiji and have fishing challenges to eventually capture the great fish called Lunar Leviathan. Additionally, the Serenitea Pot will release a new ornament called Pool of Sapphire Grace. This allows the player to raise their captured ornamental fish and present it to their friends!
Spectral Secrets
Similar to the Expedition event of Vishaps and Where to Find Them, players will be able to send out expeditions regarding spectre sightings. Travelers will have to dispatch expeditions based on the recommended visions in the adventurers guild for maximum efficiency. Once completed, players can claim the rewards.
Engraving Wishes
As a celebration of Genshin Impact’s first anniversary, miHoYo has proudly announced the Engraved Wishes event. Players will have the opportunity to have their messages engraved in Paimon blocks. Test out your luck and hope to be chosen as one of the 50,000 travelers that will have their message engraved in a Paimon statue!
Genshin Impact x Horizon Zero Dawn
Genshin Impact will give away a 5-star cryo archer, Aloy in collaboration with Horizon Zero Dawn. In Version 2.1, travelers who log into Genshin Impact on the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 will be able to obtain Aloy directly through the in-game mail. However, one must not lose hope for travelers playing on other platforms as they will be able to obtain Aloy in some time from Version 2.2.
