So far, there hasn’t been an exact release date for Yelan in Genshin Impact, but there are plenty of rumours already. She is expected to arrive along with the Genshin Impact 2.7 version update later this summer.

According to leaks, Yelan will be the game’s second 5-star Hydro Bow character coming in Genshin Impact. Tartaglia, the first and only character to wield a Hydro Vision and Bow, was introduced on November 11th, 2020, which is why the addition of a new five-star Hydro Bow user is a pleasant surprise.
She will not be the only Hydro character to appear in future updates, as HoYoverse has led gamers to believe that Kamisato Ayato will be included in v2.6, along with the introduction of a new territory called The Chasm.
Some images have surfaced from the leaks that show Yelan using a brand-new bow that was most likely developed exclusively for her Kit. New 5-star characters usually have a themed weapon that appears alongside their character banners on the “Epitome Invocation” banner. It’s believed that the new weapon for Yelan will be the same.
According to leaks, Ayato would be the sole new character included in the v2.6 release. However, data for Yelan is said to be available soon, which might point to her appearing in the game in some form – even if simply as an NPC encounter for the time being. Perhaps Yelan will make an appearance as part of The Chasm’s plot.
Yelan will be a five-star character that will appear with Shinobu, another four-star character that was leaked during Genshin Impact 2.6 beta testing, and will most likely be released in update 2.7 around mid-May, according to popular leaker Ubatcha1.
So as it stands now, it’s an intriguing addition coming in the game soon. Also, the possibility of Yelan being related to Xingqiu complicates the lore, even more, players will be looking forward to seeing how Genshin Impact progresses with its complicated and intricate tale.
