Genshin Impact Version 5.3 Phase 2 banners will go live from the 21st of January, 2025 till the 11th of February, 2025. The Version 5.3 Phase 2 banners will feature two re-run limited 5-Star characters with a dual banner.

Arlecchino is a Pyro DPS who introduces a unique mechanic around the Bond of Life mechanic. Arlecchino can apply BoL to herself through her Skill. This BoL is the most important part of her kit. Her Pyro infusion, her DMG increase, and her self-heal, all of them are based on the current BoL that she has.
Arlecchino is the only character who can apply BoL to herself. She is also the only character who uses BoL as the center of her kit. Arrlechino is arguably the best Pyro DPS in the game that rivals Mavuika. She is still a prominent character to pull.

Clorinde is an Electro DPS. Her entire playstyle is also based around the Bond of Life mechanic. Clorinde gains BoL when she uses Normal Attacks after using her Skill. She can also gain BoL from her Elemental Burst.
Using her skill when she is in the Night Vigil state will consume BoL and heal herself. However, Clorinde has two major drawbacks: lack of proper interruption resistance and low Skill uptime. These two factors combined can make her sometimes clunky to play.

Why you should go for Arlecchino or Clorinde in Genshin Impact Version 5.3
If you want powerful Pyro DPS characters or enjoy unique mechanics that reward precise play, Arlecchino is a fantastic option. Her kit revolves around the Bond of Life (BoL) mechanic, making her self-sufficient and capable of dealing massive damage with her Pyro-infused attacks. Her self-healing and DMG buffs tied to BoL give her excellent sustain in longer fights. However, to maximize her potential, you’ll want to pair her with supports who can amplify her Pyro DMG or offer shields, as her reliance on BoL requires careful management.
On the other hand, Clorinde offers a fresh approach as an Electro DPS with a playstyle centered around the Bond of Life mechanic. She excels at weaving Normal Attacks into her rotation to gain BoL and sustain herself with healing when needed. While her Electro damage can be formidable, her lack of proper interruption resistance and the low uptime of her Skill can make her feel clunky at times. She works best in teams with strong crowd control or shields to help her stay on the offensive. Clorinde is an excellent choice for players who enjoy a more technical, methodical playstyle and are willing to manage their drawbacks.
If I had to choose, I’d personally lean toward Arlecchino. Her versatility and independence make her a powerful addition to any roster, especially for those who enjoy high-impact Pyro DPS characters. That said, if you’re intrigued by Clorinde’s unique mechanics and are prepared to invest in a team to support her, she can be a rewarding and fun character. It ultimately depends on your preferred playstyle and which character resonates with you more.
