Who should you go for between Durin and Venti in Genshin Impact Version 6.2 Phase 1
Genshin Impact Phase 1 banner featuring Durin and Venti in Version 6.2, it’s hard to decide who to pull. It depends on your team’s needs and your priorities for future content. Each character brings unique strengths to the table, but some offer more immediate and long-term value than others.
Here’s a breakdown to help you decide.
1. Durin
Durin is a Dragon from the world of Simulanka, based on the original Durin and created by the Hexenzirkel witch Andersdotter. Durin’s playstyle is different than other sub DPS and buffer characters. He has two different playstyles. Either you can use him as a full-fledged damage dealer who will give massive damage, or you can sacrifice some damage for buffs.

- Principle of Purity: It’s Durin’s first form, the Principle of Purity. In this state, Durin reduces enemy resistance by 20%. If your team has Hexerei characters, then you will get 35% res shrewd because of their passive talent.
- Principle of Darkness: It’s Durin’s second form, the Principle of Darkness. In this state, Durin can’t reduce enemy resistance but deals more serious damage than in his first state. If your team has Hexerei characters, then their vaporise and melt damage increases by 40%. Durin’s damage and buff both multiply when you use Durin with Hexerei characters. You can use him in multiple teams. He also has multiple artifact options and weapon options, which make him a flexible unit in every aspect.
2. Venti
Venti is a 5-star Anemo Bow character, specialising in crowd control, energy regeneration, and Swirl reactions. But from the Version 6.2 update, he will get a buff.

After using his burst, you can use his normal attack, which will deal elemental damage like an Onfield damage dealer. Venti will get buff, but you can’t expect his damage like a Natlan or Nod Krai DPS, so keep that in mind.
Why you should go for Durin or Venti in Genshin Impact Version 6.2
Here are some points that will help you choose between the two of them.
1. Team Options
Venti is a good support character, and you can use him in any team. Without the 4-piece Viridescent Venerer artifact set, he can only help you generate energy particles. Durin doesn’t need the artifact’s passive for buffing your team, and his damage output is several times better than Venti’s. You will get more team options for Durin compared to Ventis’ team option.
2. Builds
Building Venti is so easy if you only want him for support. Give him the 4-piece Viridescent Venerer artifact set, a level 90 ER main stat bow, and your Venti build is done. Durin is not only a support, but he also deals good damage, so he needs a crit build. Building Venti is easier than building Durin.
3. Future Proof
If you want a future-proof character, then go for Durin. He is already buffing so many characters, and according to leaks, Varka and Alice both will be Hexerei characters, so Durin can buff them too in the future.
