Genshin Impact Version 6.3 brings Nod Krai map expansion, Three new characters, Lantern Rite and more

Genshin Impact Version 6.3 “Luna IV” update, titled “Song of the Welkin Moon: Postlude – A Traveler On a Winter’s Night”, arrives on January 14, 2026. This update adds to the Nod-Krai lore, everyone’s favourite Lantern Rite event, three new characters, Columbina, Zibai, Illuga, and more.

The Traveller, his Nod Krai friends, and other region friends will join forces against Dottore to save Columbina in the newest Archon Quest. In addition, you can revisit Liyue during Lantern Rite, celebrating Teyvat’s new year with colourful rewards such as Intertwined Fates ×10, Primogems ×1,600, a free 4-star Liyue character, two free skins, and more.

The story expands in Nod Krai with new mysteries about Dottore

The stage is set for the climactic battle in Nod Krai as Act VII of the Archon Quest begins. In the last chapter, Dottore successfully seized two moon marrow. In this chapter, Dottore’s experiments are about to enter an entirely new phase, and we will find out how Traveler and his friends will fight against him in the newest Archon Quest.

After completing Nod Krai Act VII of the Archon Quest, we will receive 500 Primogems, Columbina Ascension materials and a free skin for Traveler.

Nod Krai Map Expansion and Weekly Boss

Genshin Impact Version 6.3 also expands the Nod Krai map. Archon Quests Act VII and Act VIII will take place in this map. Additionally, we will get the Dottore weekly boss after finishing the Archon Quests.

Genshin Impact Version 6.3 Luna IV Update: New playable characters and reruns

Columbina: 5-star Hydo Catalyst user

The main highlight of this update is Columbina, a 5-star Hydro Catalyst user, who functions as a dedicated support and Sub-DPS specialising in the Lunar Reaction teams. When Columbina is at the party, she can convert Electro-Charged, Bloom, and Hydro Crystalise reactions triggered by any party member into the Lunar Reactions.

Lore-wise, Columbina is the Moon Goddess worshipped by the Frostmoon Scions in Nod-Krai. She was born on Hiisi Island 500 years ago and was subsequently adopted by the Frostmoon Scions as their god, known by the name Kuutar. Zibai: 5-star Geo Sword user

Zibai is a new Geo 5-star Sword user who functions as a Lunar Crystalise main DPS. She converts the Hydro crystalise reaction into Lunar Crystalise reactions and deals Geo damage.

Lore-wise, an ancient Adepti from Liyue, possibly a “daughter” of Istaroth, with golden eyes and a connection to time. She’s referenced in in-game books like “Springs of Hidden Jade” and “Moonlit Bamboo Forest”. Get prepared for her ahead of time with our Genshin Impact Zibai pre-farm guide.

Illuga: 4-star Geo Polerem user

Along with Zibai, Illuga, a 4* Geo Polerem user, will also arrive. He can buff Geo Lunar Crystalise Reaction, and he is a must-pull support for Zibai.

Re-runs

The first phase of the update features Columbina and Ineffa on the Event Wishes, followed by Zibai and Neuvlitte in the second half.

Genshin Impact Lantern Rite 2026 and Limited Events Rewards

Genshin Impact brings us our yearly Lantern Rite in 2026, titled “A Lanternlit Ode to the silver moon“, with new additional characters taking the spotlight. Players can share in the festive joy through various free rewards, including Primogems ×1,600, Intertwined Fate ×10 through a daily login event, a free 4-star Liyue character by completing the Lantern Rite event, and a new outfit for Yaoyao.

There will be two more events, and both of them will give us 420 primogems each. Additionally, we will get the Ley Line Overflow event, where we can receive double Mora, Level-up materials and XP.

New Characters Outfits

Neuvillette Skin

Neuvillette will receive a 4-star skin in Genshin Impact after 6.3 goes Live. This Outfit will be available at a limited-time discount in the shop.

Yaoyao Skin

Yaoyao will also receive a 4* skin in Genshin Impact. This skin will be free, but to get that skin, you have to complete the Lantern Rite event first.

Aether and Lumine Skin

After completing Version 6.3 Archon Quests, you can get this skin for free.
