Kakao Games has announced that its tag-team pixel action RPG, Goddess Order, is going into an indefinite maintenance period, just a month after launch. The developer, Pixel Tribe, known for Crusaders Quest, shared that financial and operational difficulties have made updates impossible.
Pixel Tribe cites financial and operational difficulties as the main reason for this
So, you might remember Goddess Order, the tag-team ARPG with charming, hand-crafted pixel art, that launched in September after its soft launch in July. In this game, you can form your own trio of knights, dive into fast-paced side-scrolling battles, and pull off stunning, powerful tag-team combos.
Unfortunately, the Goddess Order Team has announced via X that the game has entered an indefinite maintenance period as the Pixel Tribe informed that, “due to financial and operational difficulties, they are unable to continue any planned updates or maintenance.“
Upcoming Olek and major November updates stand cancelled following the announcement
What makes it even sadder is that the team was preparing for two big updates, the Olek Update on November 5 and another major one on November 12, but they’ve now cancelled both. The team revealed that “it is no longer possible to develop or deliver new content or events.”
After our interview with Pixel Tribe earlier this August, I had high hopes for this title, because Mr Terron Jung, the Content Director, told me that the launch was only the beginning of their development. And Producer Mr Jinsung Choi shared their goal to “ensure that everyone can continue enjoying ‘Goddess Order’ every single day.”
However, on a slightly brighter note, the team promised that they’ll do their best to keep the game accessible with the current service environment limitations.
And, following this announcement, all in-app purchases are now suspended, and you can now request refunds through in-game support using the inquiry feature. Although it’s a small comfort, I hope they bounce back, or at least provide an offline version in the future.
