NEOWIZ has announced the shutdown of its hit idle clicker sim title, Guitar Girl, scheduled for December 31, 2025. This relaxing music title was first released in November 2020, and is now terminating services just 5 years after its release.
Devs confirm service termination due to operational challenges
So, Guitar Girl lets you relax to soothing guitar music. Here, you can start social media to gain followers while spreading her music to more people. As you progress and grow a fanbase, she starts busking on the streets and the beach. You can even decorate her room and herself with outfits and guitars.
Unfortunately, the Guitar Girl Team announced via Facebook that the game would shut down on December 31, stating, “Due to operational reasons, Guitar Girl will unfortunately terminate service on December 31, 2025,“ and ended it with “We’ll do our best until the very end.“
You can download and play the game until EOS, and even request refunds
Following the announcement, the game has disabled all in-app purchases. However, you can still download the game from the Google Play Store and the App Store and enjoy your final moments until the EOS date, which is December 31. Lastly, customer service will be ending on January 31, 2026.
While the team will offer refunds, it’s still sad to see such a highly rated title end services so soon, as I don’t think even 5 years is enough. Fans are equally disheartened, as one stated, “I hope something comes out to fill the void,” while another said that they “ just started playing it a week ago.”
